We all have to back him wouldn’t be my choice but he should be ok for League 1. Can’t start the new season being negative like I was all last season 😂
Why do people keep saying this his best finish in league 1 was 13th with a team that got promoted immediately after he left. He has had 1 half successful season ever where he failed to get southampton automatic promotion every other season he has managed has been a complete disaster what about any of that makes people think he will be alright for league 1?

Russell Martin has manged 269 games and of those in 46 of them his team has conceded 3 or more goals thats 17 % or 1 in 6 (5.8) games which means over the course of a 46 game league 1 season (not including cup games we can be expected to concede 3 or more goals about 8 times! Yet we have decided he is the one!
Does anyone at this club know anything about football?

No one with half a brain would hire Brussel that's why he is even considering coming to us. He has spectacularly failed in almost every job he has ever had and even in the one season he did ok at Southampton we still beat them 9-0 on aggregate
Only Top and Rudkin would be stupid enough to do this

I hated the idea of Martin in the championship and prem and I hate the possession for possession's sake style but surely he will be fine in league one and at least has a decent track record of playing young players.
I'm not usually one to play devil's advocate but I think he'll be ok for us given where we are at.

Sorry mate but you were responsible for those standards. Nobody in that backroom team should still be at this football club.
Ffs how many times do people need to be reminded that wasn't his role! Its like saying Brian barry Murphy is awful because we were bad under rvn

Doubt we can afford him
I bet we can he wont be on more than 30-40k in Italy i dont think plus if he wants to come back to leicester a deal could be found I'm sure. It's just weather he wants to and we want to i think

I voted yes but then had a little think and as much as I would love Vardy to come back for another season and never leave. They way he left scoring his 200th goal was perfect and would hate for him to come back and just end up injured all the time or not do as well.
Also I think if he comes back it stops the club having to look for a young up and coming striker that can play for us long term and that's what really needs to happen now

We're all nervous, and with good reason. But personally I'd rather remain nervous for the next seven weeks than wake up tomorrow to discover we've appointed Russell Martin or Will Still.

Do you know for a fact that this is happening? In other words, you're 100% certain that: a) the club has learned absolutely nothing from our recent terrible managerial appointments and catastrophic relegations; and b) the appointment of McCarron will make absolutely no difference to anything?
I understand why people are cynical after the shit we've been through, but this assumption that literally nobody at the club is capable of reflecting on our mistakes and seeking to improve things, including our new sporting director, seems a little bit overdone to me.I believe that McCarron could well point out lots of improvements that we need etc, I have no faith that Rudkin being his boss will allow him to implement the changes needed because it will show him up if he admits he ever got it wrong

The problem is, while rushing to get somebody in may appease an understandably impatient fanbase, it wouldn't necessarily lead to us appointing the best candidate. Obviously the ideal scenario is that we get the best available candidate in and we do it soon, but IF the choice was between appointing a mediocre manager this week or waiting until July to appoint a very good manager, I would prefer us to do the latter.
I generally agree rushing is a bad idea, however based on previous experiences it seems like what we actually do isnt take our time searching and finding the best candidate but actually we dont even start looking until late June early July then we rush then and appoint whoever we can find. Then we end up with the worst of both worlds with the wrong candidate and with very little time to prepare the squad.
So thats why the longer it goes on the more nervous I get about it

I still can’t get my head around how badly they handled (many things) the shot at redemption that Enzo gave them. That summer after promotion it’s like they went out to try and do it on the cheap but did so by throwing loads of money at it.
I’m a tiny bit heartened to hear that figures within the club are also unhappy with how things have been handled - so they are dissenting voices within. For example, how it’s come out about the disbelief that we went into the season with two first team strikers (and one being Ayew) and it took so long to replace Cifuentes.
But on Cifuentes, I believe we’re also seeing how some of the dynamics pan out at senior level. We’re now led to believe that Aiyawatt wanted to support Cifuentes, and he did that interview suggesting so. Then he’s pressured to sack him by senior people - who are these senior people? And who has an interest in trying to blame others for prolonged underperformance? Enter Mr Jon Rudkin the cancer at our club…
I want KP out as much as the rest of you, and we need strong leadership, but I do wonder what would happen if Aiyawatt replaces Rudkin with someone competent.
I actually think if Aitawatt replaced Rudkin with someone competent we would be fine. He isn't a bad owner as such as in he has put the money in and supported the club. His main failing is continuously trusting people who are failing at there jobs and spending the money in the wrong places.
The problem is though its been so clear for so long that Rudkin/senior management are the problem and he has done nothing about it and I have no faith that he will

Let's look at the positives at least it wont be Russell Martin 😂

I think there are 3/4 groups of fans at the moment.
Group 1: Are the people who were still clapping after the game although there were a few are in the minority and as far as going forward can be ignored don't argue with them there is not point don't attack them just let them be as like people have said if they can't see it now they probably never will.
Group 2: Are people that are aware of the problems but for are apathetic about it.
Group 3: Are people who are aware of the problems and are angry about it but go to the games with family or young kids so find the toxic environment difficult to deal with especially when the chants are crude
Group 4: Are the people who are angry and actively pushing for change
Groups 2 and 3 can be won over to push for change but the right environment needs to be pushed to do this. Yes show anger at the players but maybe tone down the aggression, have chants that are not rude/crude so people with families feel like they can bring there kids to the protests and join in with the chants against the players and the board at the stadium.
If this is achieved I think we will start to see more and more people joining the protests and thats how we bring people together

King for ffs...... oversaw 4 games as interim lost them all. Part of a woeful coaching team where we are bottom for fitness stats, sprints etc, zonal marking crap etc he needs to go along with all the other coaching staff.
Im not saying we should give it to King but people really need to stop with this he's part of a terrible coaching team rubbish. It's really hard to know how good a coach is under a terrible manager e.g. Chris Davies under Rodgers and Brian Barry Murphuy under RVN. Also King's role other than those 4 games which weren't as terrible as people make out we did make improvements were running and did score goals lots of issues still but there have been all season Kings role has been to integrate young players into the first team. He is not in charge of tactics or 1st team training generally

I'm not a fan of Rowett at all, but I bet they'll let him go at the end of the season, then spend all summer looking for a replacement and then we'll end up with someone even worse because nobody worth their salt will want to work under this board.
We wont let him go until July (start of the new financial year) then spend 1.5 months looking for someone new and give them no preseason and no transfers
