Almost midday and still nothing these aren't getting done we probably missed the deadlines again
-
We didn't get them done in time did we? There would have been at least some teasing on the socials if we had
-
Why do we leave everything to the last minute do they know there are 31 days in January not everything has to be done on the last day

If he has, it only involves Southampton.
Don't be silly if he'd watched a Southampton game he wouldn't keep picking there awful players

That sounds like a job for a decent manager, maybe we should be aiming for players that have played more than 19 mins in 2 seasons as we are crying out for that more than cheerleaders.
It’s a punt, let’s hope he plays and stays fitI agree, looking for the positives but also if he can stay fit he is a good player and a leader on the pitch which we have been sorely missing
-
To be fair if he is cheap/ loan signing if we are just brining him in for character/ to inject some leadership into the squad probably a positive at the moment

Thiago possibly

Not a chance we'd agree 50% with Sporting. We paid a very large fee for him as a Championship club. 10% max.
Sorry you know who negotiated this deal right?

Any danger of a fcukin striker?
Hi Ric,
I've been assessing the needs of the squad and I have decided it would not be sensible to spend money on a striker as we don't need strikers what we need is another Goalkeeper
Thanks

Enzo won't come, but I'm backing him over anyone in the playoffs.
Its not even a debate comparing him to anyone else in this league.
Maresca does not finish lower than 6th if he's in charge.
To think otherwise, is simply disrespectful and is the mindset of those that like to do Maresca revisionism.
The man has won 3 trophies in two years.
My caveat to your point would be Maresca doesn’t finish lower than 6th if he had the full season and a preseason to train with the players coming in now it’s a completely different story

Cope. He is immune to criticism and burying your head in the sand doesn’t help.
He was a coach and part of the rot, directly or indirectly. Our team look unfit, are poor at pressing, working as a team, passing properly around the back, defending (Thomas)
He chose to play the players that cause problems week in week out.He was a coach who's remit was to integrate the young players into the first team he was not the one coming up with tactics, he was not the one in charge of training.
Some people on here are just ridiculously negative and refuse to be anything other even when there is some admittedly very small positives.
And some who seem to be desperate to hate King and put him down for no apparent reason

This is how I feel, yesterday was sad but also expected. I knew it would be like when Rodgers left and nothing changed because the same people were in charge.
King has been part of the team that has been overseeing this decline. He was on the coaching staff and the players have looked poorly conditioned, undisciplined, playing with zero awareness, lack of urgency and tactics that make zero sense from an attacking perspective. They haven't worked on Okoli's poor passing, Ayew's cheating instead of trying to play football and his positioning.
The lack of support for the wingers is obvious to all that watch us, yet they haven't fixed it.
What I'm more shocked about is that he hasn't addressed the tactics. Surely as a former player he can see the problems and has ideas, I guess not.
King isn't the sole cause but certainly is part of the mess. Maybe he's not very good at his job, it happens.
Its not fifa/ football manager you can't implement a completely new system in 3 days you have to make small changes to try and improve.
Which he did we went more direct moved the ball quicker etc
Some people on here seem to refuse to acknowledge these changes though and just pretend nothing changed

Spot On.
I wasn't surprised at his team selection if I'm honest. (And posted as such on other threads)
However he could have been a bit braver with starting Daka in for A'Hole, sorry Ayew, and also Aluko for Thomas, and whilst it's hard to change loads in a week, I was disappointed not to see at least a tweak in style or formation (OK we played a little less out from the back, but it needed more) 'Marti's set up' hadn't really worked so " it is broke and needs fixing" remember, these are professional players who should be able to adapt, like play a bit more narrow, or wider or more hoof ball ect. and specially at just doing the basics
It was clear by the end of the match who where the best players in their roles and and more importantly their applicaton during the 90 min's and if he learns from this and then adjusts for the Birmingham match then I'll be a bit happier, but if we have a rince and repeat (Okoli inclusion excused due to him being a stupid tw@t) then sorry Kingy, 'you reap what you sow'
There was clearly a change in style we played much more direct especially 2nd half and looked fairly decent (compared to our recent performances) despite the fact we had 10 men

When you are in the position we are in any slight improvements are positives. I wasn't excusing any of the many failures but some people in here seem to be unable to separate the general failures of the club from everything else and never even admit there might be a slight positive its exhausting.
That's not letting anyone off its not forgetting about the problems

2-0 loss to Charlton at home is about as bad as it gets in terms of one off results I am afraid
The performance was an improvement and the sending off was a massive problem I do admit, but then I say again, Charlton, at home, not exactly the most testing fixture on the fixtures list is it, and we have nothing to show for it. Birmingham away Southampton at home and Boro and Stoke away coming up with a potential points being taken off in the mean time...this is all a potential disaster in the making I am afraid.
That is all I was saying though the performance was an improvement. That was my only point really. Glad we agree on that
I was never claiming it was good the result was clearly horrific just that there were some positives

Okay Rudders .... now let's you back to the ward
If you can't see that there were some positives from that game despite the horrendous start, and feel the need to insult people, I feel sorry for you.
No one is saying that it was good that would be delusional but there were improvements from previous games

Delusional
Just look at the stats we were down to 10 from literally the first 5 minutes of actual play we had more shots/chances than we have had in the last 5 games.
Nowhere did i say it was good just better than it has been.
The fact that anything other than utter misery on here is hated on us what is delusional

Look im not saying its been good as it clearly hasn't but there have been plenty of positives here compared to under marti.
The players are running and trying
We are having shots
We are creating chances
We are moving the ball quicker
We have an xG of almost 2
Despite being down to 10 men from really early on we have been better than in almost all of the games over the last few months.
These are positives
This isn't to let anyone off the hook/ say everything is fine now or even approaching it or that King is the answer (he probably isn't)
But this has not been the disaster that many on here seem to want it to have been
We look like we have more passion and energy let's hope that continues

Not a disaster but same result of 0 points and no clean sheet yet again.
it’s ok creating chances but you need a player to finish them or at least stay on their fkin feetall the blame still on Marti and none aimed at the lazy lethargic players like okoli ayew etc.
we are dog 💩 as long as player like listed above still pull on a shirt nothing will change
Yes don't disagree with you there.
Just trying to combat the people that seem to be saying nothing has changed it has we do look better today despite only having 10 men
But yes still lots of improvement needed

See them try in many half’s of games mate to be honest. Nothing to do with kingy (poor blokes on a hiding to nothing)
players don’t care and haven’t since they got relegated last time.
sick of the crap football they produce week in week outneed to get rid of the trash and rebuild
this season should be all about survival and with the players they have it’s a hard thing to do as they lack desire fight and passion
We are creating chances better than many games under marti we are trying and running more than I have seen us all season.
Its not great but its not the disaster some people decided it was going to be before the game even kicked off. There is at least effort which is more than we have seen for a while

We are definitely trying now very positive in that respect. But still need more quality
