Like many others have said, WYS has been sung for many years down the City. Trouble is, it always was sung quickly I think, just to get to the wiggly hands at the end and was barely recognisable at times. Personally, I love the version we sing now. It’s the right tempo for everyone to join in with. I still hear fans singing the original during the match. That Arsenal one is a bit bizarre and sounds like it could have been sung in the underground during the war, when every was sheltering from the bombs!

Just googled it, Arsenal. Nice song but sounds like something from Titanic😉

For me, Muzzy trumps Madders every time. He could do anything Madders could do and still stay standing! Scored some spectacular goals and was an immediate hit with the fans. (Remember the Fezes)? I went on a stadium tour where Walshie and Elliott were the hosts. They were asked who if anyone from their era, would have got in the Premier league winning team, without hesitation, they both said Muzzy. Everyone on the tour agreed. He was a superb footballer and if Glen Hoddle hadn’t have been the England manager, would have been in the England squads. (Hoddle sold him to us)! He was the top scoring midfielder at the time.
