Ah well, my bad then. Don't think mahrez had a good game either. Can't remember his last good game or when i gave him more than 6 or 7 tbh. He shows only glimpses of what he can. I don't know anymore if it's because the whole team is shit and he got dragged down or he's indeed a one trick pony. But even then, he's still one of our best players by a country mile and people here are a bit too fast to slate him. It has something to do with the high expectations I guess.

As far as I remember, the most dangerous attacks came from Mahrez. Mahrez to Slim to Fabianski Mahrez Ndidi to Slim to Vardy to row Z

That was something I hoped for. Even more after I saw that Ndid was quality. But Drinkwater is to be immediately benched. Fed up with his pathetic performances. Never saw a mifdfielder refusing to take any responsibilty whatsoever. Yesterday was the last straw. He royally ****ed up.

Different paths. Different evolutions. Zidane revealed himself to the world as one of the best ever in his late twenties. Doesn't mean Gray can't reach top level. He has the potential nayway

Supposing you're serious (which I doubt). Perspective. You have to put it in. Sterling is playing for one of the title contenders. Not a team who's searching for their first win for 15 games.

I ain't mad at him. He's young and can become a very good player. If we go down, I don't see how it would benefits his career. Still think (or hope) he genuinely gives a fvck about this team. I'd be devastated to see us going down and I think it's the same for the players as well. It just can't end this way.
-
Maybe. Maybe not. Would you be mad at him if it's the case?
-
He played great, in continuity to what he showed the last games. His end product is getting better and better at every game. Gone next summer.
-
If he doesn't start tomorrow I'll be mad. Like really mad. If Ranieri keeps on benching him, he'll be gone this summer.

We won't get a new CB. How surprising.
-
I have a hard time seeing him as winger. He doesn't lack pace but awareness in this position. His ball control doesn't do him any favor as well. A good FB gets him easily in his pocket. IMO what suits best him is CF where his speed can damage generally slow CBs. If we don't try to hoof the ball forward, that is.

He had a good game this afternoon. Set him before the defense behind Mendy and Drinky.
-
He was bought to do a bit of both. But then why keep Ulloa, why keep Schlupp? Can't believe how many wingers we have, all but two being fast but shit with the ball and unable to bring it down (never saw Kapi so I won't comment on him). For me the purchases this summer show that Ranieri never wanted to play anything else other than his 4-4-2 with a gameplay based essentially on the wings, the midfield being only used for ball recuperation. Well pretty much like last year. Not buying a decent FB was criminal.

He's a fast car without a steering wheel, uncomfortable with the ball, his first touch is awful as well as his finish. You don't need 10 games to understand that it's not with this kind of players you're going to try fast one touch combinations. His footballistic ECG is flat and that's not gonna change. I can get that he's not used to be a winger, so I'll excuse his bad positioning but still can't believe how he easily lost the ball on a counter although there were miles of space and a real possibility to score. But no, just ran straight at the FB and gently gave him the ball back. If there was any player who'd deserve more time that would be Gray. He has potential and is not afraid of the ball. I'm supposing that he's not getting game time because of his behaviour in the dressing room. Can't see any other reason.

Glorified Schlupp. Headless roadrunner with one of the worst first touches for a winger "striker" i've ever seen. All in the pace and nothing in the football brain whatsoever. Has nothing to do with coming from another league, some things can't be learned. Might be useful one day against knackered or slow FB. Maybe.
-
Likewise. You forgot Gray. Edit: Misread your post.
-
Very poor first touch. Still not convinced, but can't totally write him off for some reason.
-
Yes but King can hardly be considered as a reference.
-
Agree with pace / power / strenght. And passing ability when it comes to 3-5 yards sideway or backward passing. I'll even turn a blind eye on his poor first touch and run with the ball. But without a minimum of football brains it all goes to waste. Especially in the midfield. He anticipates nothing wether defensively or in the offensive phases and is not aware of who's around him. Maybe it comes with time and training, but he's not a natural. I don't think he'll ever be a great or even a good one. I don't know his worth as CB but as box to box midfielder he's nowhere good enough. The way he took the ball away from Slimani in the box in the last minutes, which could have been costly, made me want to throw my monitor out the window.

Please, explain.

I found him better than usual to be honest. He made some good tackles and also did try to pass the ball forward. But his positioning is still woeful and he has bricks instead of feet. His first touch and shoot technique are terrible. I know you can't expect from him to kill a 50 yard pass dead but he's one of the less technically gifted midfielders I've ever seen at this level. Just look at him running with the ball or TO the ball.

Didn't do things correctly since I started posting before introducing myself. I'm from Germany, currently living in Cologne. Regularly following the PL in general and LCFC in particular since November 2015, where their astonishing run really caught my attention. Having played a bit as left winger, I'm also a big fan of Mahrez.
