MCFC's crime has been financial. The deceipt, lies, evasion all the result of dishonesty by the clubs owners. I don't think it's realistic to punish the players, this is pureley a financial malpractice. As a financial malpractice there should be a financial punishment, not a fine, that may suit the PL and MCFC, but a punishment exactly the opposite of the crime. Impose a limit on their spending, reduce their limit under PSR to that which a PL club at the bottom end of the PL would face, for a number of years.

It certainly does. The optimism after the pre season game against Northampton. where the youngsters showed much promise, has alll but gone and been replaced with a fear that the best of them may be squanderd for an insignificant sum of money.

You're probably right, although if you were to pick two players from Saturdays game who are reported transfer targets, juding by performances, you would not have picked the two first team defenders.

Some very good performaces yesterday, especially in the first half. Everone sees the game diffferently. For me Alves, Aluko and Page, apart from his corners, were outstanding with Aluko the best but he academy boys on the whole looked good. I hope that the sale of Monga is not gvoing to be repeated and we keep the most promising of the academy players. We must not squander this talented group.

JOSH EPPIAH Very pleased to see that Josh Eppiah is still playing and has joined a second tier Brazilian side. Josh came up through the academy and showed a lot of promise until he was injured Good luck Josh, hope it goes well. Also the academy did its main function of preparing young players for life as a professional footballer.
