Well, for what it's worth, highly probable that RVN starts Danny Ward against Liverpool (if Mads Hermansen's not fit by Thursday) based on his post-match comments. It would be in our best interest if we showed our love and support as opposed to booing our own goalkeeper as some fans did yesterday in the stadium.

I fully agree with you @Sly, I said the same exact thing and got made fun of for it. I understand it's not a popular opinion, but just because an opinion is not popular doesn't always translate into it being incorrect. For arguments sake, even Brendan Rodgers admitted the main reason he preferred Ward over Iversen was because he wasn't as good with his feet as Ward was - and that makes sense given we build out a lot from the back!

Well Ruud isn't the first manager to prefer Ward over Iversen! Ask Cooper, Rodgers, etc... Maybe they see something in him we as fans don't!

To play devil's advocate, maybe this is the best lineup Ruud could put out with the players available to him until the window opens and he can bring in his players.

Cooper would have probably had a similar line-up (if NOT the same)!

The defence is more of an issue (as evidenced by the previous match) than whichever goalkeeper starts today. Let me put it like this, it wouldn't really matter who you start as goalkeeper today if the goals being conceded are coming from errors in the defence.
