  1. You know, it's the utter lack of urgency that really pisses me off.
  2. He doesn't have a change of system...
  3. The bloody manager is playing him in the wrong place!
  4. This is a fcuking basketball game at the moment. Millwall are about 200 percent more committed than us.
  5. Has Ndidi got wellies on or something? He's SO slow.
  6. There have been so many times this season where we've been in amazing positions around the box and the final ball has been the wrong choice. Good to see Yunus is carrying on the tradition
  7. Tell you what, Justin's looking quite handy up there!
  8. Nah. Sargeant pushed him over.
  9. Oh god. We're trying to do "game management"
  10. You can see us doing it again. Less pressing, less energy. We'll hand the initiative right back to them...
  11. Now then. DON'T SIT BACK!
  12. After giving the ball away pathetically, yeah.
  13. On the positive side, Fatawu looks on it today.
  14. Why do we persist in that daft ball to a tightly marked midfielder. It almost always ends up with them being crowded out and losing the ball.
  15. That's the spirit. Blind faith and unfounded optimism never let us down ;-)
  16. This ^. Just shuffling deckchairs on the titanic now...
  17. I don't think this is the case though. Most of the Bristol game, Fatawu wasn't running into the space down the line, so the sideways passing resulted in him receiving the ball 10 yards over the halfway line, but often static,. This allowed the fullback to do a dual block on both Fatawu and Choudhury/Ricardo/Wilf by taking up a conservative position at 45 degrees and a few yards from both. If Fatawu had pushed for that space, the fullback would have had to commit to a man, which would have left space for a midfielder in between the fullback and central defender. As it was, Fatawu was no threat at all and even if he had the ball, was starting from a standing position and the defender could close him down. Where he had success earlier in the season was when he pulled defender wide to create indecision and space, which resulted in gaps to be exploited for passing. By being passive and not pulling the defender wide, it makes it trivial to cut out the through balls we thrived on. It's absolutely not rocket science and Albrighton is still effective at it by shifting the ball quickly and wrapping his foot around the cross, so the defender has to go tight to try to cut it off. He doesn't need to fully beat the defender, just provide the threat of the cross. Fatawu and Mavididi are both playing scared keep-ball as they are probably lambasted by Maresca if they don't cut back and recycle possession endlessly. It stifles their instinct and desire to go at players and it makes us run out of space. Go back to pulling the defenders out wide, commit to runs, and see the space open up in the channels again, you nobheads.
  18. What's the ****ing point in doing a like for like change up front, ffs? This changes nothing.
  19. Why didn't Fatawu take the man on there? He always cuts back...
  20. Imagine if we had a team playing exciting football to inspire us!
  21. Don't forget the drifted cross that floats out of play on the far side of the pitch!
  22. And ffs Faes too. Crap header.
  23. This. Over and over again, this.
  24. Genuinely feel Albrighton offers more than either of our current wingers.
