I mean he’s obviously top class and it’s close, but for me is tainted by the fact he was also a cheat in his actions on the pitch, famously above, and also was caught taking performance enhancing drugs, it wasn’t just coke.

Messi has exceptional longevity and his entire career more or less he has been the best player in the world, he has unrivalled consistency. Has nearly double the caps and triple the goals for Argentina than Maradonna does, and in an era where he is up against far superior athletes to those in the 80s/90s.

Dorsett speculating - basically creating a story that isn't there. My issue on this point is with the England press not TT.

I would however have selected a direct replacement rather than another CB

There is clearly a trend towards backup players being versatile and physically strong/tall. Chalobah can also play RB. I wouldn’t even take Trent if Chalobah were unavailable tbh, probably would go Lewis Hall.

Picking a squad of giants in a knockout competition where set pieces will be key is not a silly strategy imo.

  3. His teams have been some of the worst sides I’ve ever seen, and at rangers he was one of the biggest managerial failures of recent years in any top flight, his saints side was similarly catastrophic in the prem.

Couple to that his inability to take any blame or criticism, this is not going to end well.

  4. He is a shit manager whose teams play shit football in my mind, some of the worst football I’ve ever seen in the premier league at that.

He's going to have to earn the benefit of the doubt from fans with early results else it could get ugly fast.

  5. I think the only positive here is we’ve actually appointed a manager before the season has started. But that is literally the only positive, Martin can get in the bin. First manager ever at Leicester that is going to have to win me over rather than being given the benefit of the doubt from the off.
