The fact we are just 3 points away from safety (2 pending goal difference) is crazy. We still have a chance with 16 games to go.

We have 7 home games and 9 away games left, the same as ipswich

Wolves have 9 home games and 8 away games left.

    Small mini league

We have ipswich and saints home, wolves away.

Ipswich have saints wolves home, is away.

Wolves have us home, ipswich and saints away.

I'm not saying we are going to service, but we still have a great chance if we can start getting results.

We need to get behind them and give it one big push. Ipswich and wolves will be feeling it too, 32 points will do it IMO, 18 to go, 5 wins and 3 draws. Ipswich and saints have to be wins, and then it would take 3 wins and 3 draws from remaining 16 games. Or 2 wins and 6 draws.

We can still do this, ndidi and hermansen will be back soon.

    Foxes Never Quit

I admire your Monday morning optimism I really do, I on the other hand have come to terms with being relegated "again" and feel a sense of relief, I dont even fight the Monday morning banter from work mates, I think even they have given up taking the Pis$, its really quite refreshing.

If by some miracle we manage to gather some wins, and draws, I might get a tiny bit excited...

This is spot on, I've always maintained I don't think Top doesn't care (he could care more for sure) I think its more he isn't a football guy and has allowed a selection of charlatans to run the thing for him.

Like you I don't know if it is just Rudkin, but as director of football, he certainly must bare the brunt of where things have gone wrong, he is a constant in a long list of silly decisions.

Extremely poor history on big money signings.

Not sacking rodgers quickly enough despite it being obvious to everyone he'd checked out.

    Not adequately replacing kasper

Allowing drinkwater to leave and messing up the silva signing

Still not having a competent alternative to vardy

Allowing talented assets like tielemans to run their contracts down

Overpaying average players so we can't move them on

Failing PSR and getting away with it on a technicality

Building a squad to play enzo ball, renewing vestergaard primarily because of it to bring in steve cooper?

Having the same back 4 that got relegated 2 years ago playing week in week out this season, having made 0 improvements in 4 transfer windows

And now we are on the cusp of 2 relegations in 3 years, when the year before that we were a comfortable upper mid table team.

Those are just things off the top of my head, in isolation you can say no ones perfect, not every footballing decision is correct, but its a hell of a list.

I do give credit for Enzo, but as others have mentioned it was hard to see us not getting promoted give the squad we had.

As I said is that list just Rudkin? Absolutely no idea, but he has been a constant through it all.

My hope is Top wakes up, takes it all more seriously than he has, and take personal charge of a review into the last few years of the football operation because it absolutely stinks, we may bounce back again next season as we will still have a handful of players too good for the championship, but the quality is dwindling and we are not far off oblivion if it continues down this road.

This post is bang on, nothing happens apart from the list of blunders get bigger, you do have to wonder what will make Top act.

Did I say lessons had been learnt? Don`t recall saying that, I even stated the club is guilty of hubris.

Not getting into a debate because I dont have the energy for one when it comes to Leicester City fc, you eluded to the fact we were coming to the end of a cycle I respect ur opinion but I just think we repeat the cycles that has seen us back here again

Fallout following our league win ? Which one PL or Champ because the PL win and the mistakes thereafter were some time ago and club has achieved and ironed out maybe of those mistakes in the windows and business that followed.

If it’s relegation, in the summer we lumbered ourselves with a 3 year deal for Vestegaard. Hired a manager completely alien to the players within the squad. Signed aging and quite frankly expensive players (for their value) and spunked £22m on Skipp who offers us nothing. If anything we’ve doubled down on mistakes not remedied previous problems.

Nothing has been learnt at all. We do it on repeat.

100% Spot on if anyone thinks lessons have been learned and a solid plan established going forward, they are mistaken, Enzo was a good piece of business and had he stayed I'd like to think our signings would have been better for pre season to this point.

  5. We will concede our usual, standard, obligational, ever obliging 2 Goals, and likely lose 3 Nil.

Then the post match thread will open and have the usual criticism of JJ, Vesty, Mavididi, Faes, followed by individual errors for each goal by the usual culprits, Vardy will have 2 or 3 chances early on and miss all of them.

Then the Rudkin thread will start too creep up the threads table, to "top spot" with the usual warranted and funny criticism.

Then the next match Leicester v Tottenham thread will open up, followed by everyone's best team line ups, followed by comments of Maddison scoring or assisting against his old club comments.

Cant wait till Saturday Nights FT check in.

I normally watch MOTD when we draw or win, but its been that long since we did either, I genuinley cant recall if Lineker is still hosting or not.

That's what I mean. Until the happy clappers that make up 90% of the attending public get their thick heads around the idea that Top and Rudkin are a disease then nothing changes.

I hear what your saying and agree, however I can't believe Top sits there thinking everything is fine and rosy, he must know, he is closer to it, it's his money being wasted, he watches the matches and the goals we are leaking, etc it's on him to act!

Is it possible to put to bed the 'getting relegated is actually good, because you can have a reset and get rid of the deadwood' nonsense?

Its wishful thinking, and would be a logical reaction to relegation, but you are correct it will likely be another internal review with Jon talking to the Mirror about how it was everyone else's fault

  8. With the good news about PSR this was the match I thought we could get something, and keep the hope alive, i can now confirm in my own mind, we are the second worst team in the league.

Nothing will change, Rudkin wont get fired, they will continue to renew high wage contracts for crap players, and journey men, recruitment is haphazard and not joined up, it's a leaderless shit show from where we were.

The season is over, and I will continue to watch matches, and check in on here, but I wont be going out my way to do so, for the rest of the season, we should look and prepare  for the Championship, and go again with a total rebuild and restructure including staff, I can't really blame RVN he cant produce miracles and the play has improved, but I'm not convinced he is the real deal either.

After the Wolves match and this match I'm at a loss what to think anymore.

Well Justin made a balls up and its infuriating because we deserved a point. The difference between that and Wolves was night and day. I don't think you can watch the last 2 games and think everything is done.

I honesty wouldn't even mind the negativity if it felt like it was coming from people who wanted us to do well. It's the same old shit you read on here, almost gloating about us doing shit. You don't moan 0-0 half time away at a Champions League team because of stuff like how it must look to neutrals. Who gives a ****? There used to be this old couple with season tickets who used to be the same. Laughing every time we'd go behind and mocking players. It's such a weird mentality and it's full of it on here.

Mate everyone has their own opinion, if you dont like the comments good or bad dont read them, not everyone agrees with you that's life.

May have had a good game but it's annoying we still players of this calibre in our team/playing for us,considering he was one of the reasons we whent down last time!!

This team is full of reasons to get relegated again this season, the scouting, recruiting, contract management and wages for some players are laughable, we wont move them on as no one will pay what the club pays them its wrotten to the corps.

JJ performances have been awful, not the same player post ACL Injury, I love Ricci P and he had a great season in the Championship, but is no longer capable fitness wise of playing in the Prem for prolonged periods, wholesale changes needed if we are to compete properly, its sheer laziness at DOF level to accept the current levels at which we operate.

We are surely down this season we are 1 of the 3 worst teams in the Prem, a miracle January transfer window is needed to stand a chance of scrapping to stay up, if we go down I hope RVN stays, this predicament we are in is not his fault and i truly hope he gets what he wants in the January window.

I'd love to be overly negative, but I can't be tonight.

Liverpool are arguably the best team in world football at the moment, and for 40 minutes we were winning. I will say that prior to additional time being added I thought we looked relatively well organised and set up. There was a mistake before their first goal, someone jumped in and they missed a chance which seemed to ruin the composure, then Gakpo scored.

Mavididi despite what some are saying online did well. He was an outlet at times and carried the ball well, causing a few problems. He was never going to rip his fullback to bits tonight as we had little of the ball.

Daka did well with what he could do. He had a hard job today, yes he had that chance but I thought he did okay.

Soumare showed touches of class again, Winks looked good. Stolarcyzk had a good game too, and I do feel that he'll be our first choice keeper next season.

There are a few glaring issues still. James Justin is a shadow of his former self and looks a liability. Ayew despite the goal won a few free kicks but in a vital area of the pitch where we needed someone to run the ball out he did little. We could have troubled Liverpool down the other flank say if we had Fatawu.

We all expected to be smashed by at least a 5 goal cushion tonight, so the fact it was tight for a while and we led for a large part of the game must be a positive.

I still think we are doomed though. Conceding far too many goals whatever the opposition. (10 in 3 games)

A bit better tonight, however conceding goals at this rate, is not sustainable, unless we get a few miracle signings in January we are down I think.

  12. There are alot of people over thinking this, the fans have rightly or wrongly made their minds up, and to be honest its backed up with plenty of evidence, there cannot be one person who cares for the club that thinks he is upto it, RVN should just sit him down and tell him the truth, he is a proffesional footballer earning millions per year, he can take it, and if truth be known he likely already knows he is not at the standard required as an LCFC goal keeper.  The club really should just settle what they owe him on his contract and allow him to leave, along with a few others who are not upto the job

Not going to happen. But I agree completely.

If Top won't sack the cvnt, then putting him somewhere he can cause the least damage but still feel important would suit all parties.

There was never a shred of evidence he was a good appointment. PSV finished runners up and improved when he left although arguably they sold playershe didn't want to let go. He fell out with the board and coaching staff. 4 games as caretaker at Man U with a star studded squad playing us......

I thought it was a dreadful choice but was accused of being a 'flask taker'.

We should have gone for Moyes or Potter

    RVN fraud.
