Sorry for my error

I'm not talking about the terrible events in Southport or knife crime. What strikes me that the expectation of behaviour of some young people when they start going out is too low. Often loutish behaviour is dismissed as young people letting off steam or having a lark. As well as nurturing young people in the home, school and increasing youth services on the one hand there has to be zero tolerance from everything from vandalism, shop lifting and anti social behaviour. Everyone needs to not only know their rights but their responsibilities too. This from a bloke from a centre left working class background before anyone thinks I'm a dyed in wool Daily Mail Tory

Hope authorities keep close watch on in him in prison to counter influence on other inmates

A chap called Wifred Freeman was a central figure in the procurement of many of the best designs of aircraft used by the RAF in ww2 apparently
-
I agree though the aeroplane was good

I think the lack of decent council housing since a lot of stock has been sold off and not replaced has contributed to the social problems of the country
-
Would the press be correct in asking the question as to the original background of the person under arrest ?

Shakes one to the core

I guess we all want to know the background of the youth responsible and what has lead to this ghastly event. We will have be patient which is something we find hard in these days of instant news and speculation

It has been said that means testing can incur a lot of administration costs
-
Very true. Fortunately I don't qualify for pension credit or other means tested benefits. I would say that among the pensioners that will lose the winter fuel allowance I'm at the less well off end. Not though at the stage in life where feeling the cold is worse than when younger. Will just have to get on with it.
-
I think this is right. Do we want trained doctors to think they would be better off going abroad after all that expensive training?
-
As a Labour supporter and a pensioner I think I could join in here. I don't get pension credit but certainly not well off. Obviously would rather receive the winter fuel allowance though I thought it quite generous. Always been careful about not wasting energy. Hopefully Reeves knows what she is doing and money saved helps.

If the Green Party are not radical enough for them why don't they form a new party to win support via the ballot box. They can still protest without causing disruption or vandalism.
-
I don't have a car or fly and I despise their methods too.
-
I wonder if between protests these people live a perfect life with no travelling for work, holidays or other appointments or heaven forbid simple social activities for leisure or the arts

That is why the whole situation should be investigated and the kick and stamp not seen in isolation by Joe Public
-
All it takes as you put it rather underplays it I think
-
You make it seem oh so easy as if watching a hero in a police crime drama. Unfortunately this was not scripted. The kick and stamp could well be proved to be excessive but we don't know if the officer himself thought the threat was still real or not.
-
From what I recall Mr Tomlinson was not aggressive or violent towards the police. The Manchester blokes were very violent it seems.
-
Surely the situation was entirely different to the Ian Tomlinson case.
-
A bit more serious than a so called good scrap when officers guns could have been taken. Bottom line is that all the evidence should be gathered. Let us wait for due process.

I don't expect the manager to be too open in his answers. Modern managers do have to be something akin to a politician
