  1. My problem with Shaw is that he nearly always stops to come inside on his left foot and rarely goes on the outside
  2. Has the weapon concerned been confirmed
  3. Am I right to assume a small calibre weapon used. Obviously still deadly but suspect with a bigger calibre Trump would have been more seriously injured. Just to add that political violence must always be condemned. As a 7 year old I can still remember the horror and shock when JFK was killed and followed in 68 by loss of Martin Luther King and RFK
  4. As well as attempt on Reagan and Ford. Before JFK attempts made on Truman and FDR
  5. Dare I say a very English thing to look at the negatives.
  6. Leicester win or lose the emotion stays with me longer than England. Having said that I will be happy if England do it and will revel in seeing the country celebrate. When I think about my first interest in football in 1963 Leicester was it from the start. Was probably not even aware of the national side till 66 and this was boosted by having Gordon Banks in the team
  7. I know you are talking in general terms but as a pensioner I am delighted that in my little circle of oldies the very idea of voting for that absolute shower of a Tory government was never going to happen
  8. That Biden's health is the story means he should of course step down. After all it's not like he is looking just to get to the election but another four years as president
  9. England winning would still rank below Leicester winning any major honour (Premier, FA or even League Cup) but would still be a brilliant experience
  10. I was still 9 when England won in 1966. If you had said to me that Leicester would win the League Cup twice, the top division and FA Cup before England won anything again I don't think I would have believed you. We have all become so cynical about the England football team as a way of dealing with failure. Southgate does deserve praise that England have reached a more consistent level. To win the final would refresh the narrative and remove the stale cynical mould hanging since at least 1970 when we lost a two goal lead to the Germans
  11. I can remember Lazurus played for QPR
  12. I would imagine our neighbours in Scotland, Ireland and Wales are predominantly hoping that Spain win on Sunday. I suppose we shouldn't care
  13. I'm starting to have the same feeling when we were going for the Premier League and again for FA Cup. I start to imagine but then stop myself as it might just remain a dream. But when it is in your head it is intoxicating
  14. At home with wife and grandson
  15. So desperate for England to win the thing. Bit like Leicester in the 60s regarding the FA Cup Final. Reached 3 finals good but ultimately disappointing to not win one. Thank goodness that is behind us. For England to win something after so long will be cathartic
  16. Worry about the final on Sunday but for now let us enjoy that England are in it
  17. Yep. I said it before it went to VAR. You see free kicks given all the time for similar. Should not make a difference if in box
  18. Ian Wright just said what I said. That will do for me
  19. Funny I was thinking the same about Bellingham
