  1. But then how's it different from discussing things regarding the city council or regarding the house of commons which happens plenty of times on here
  2. I was wondering whether, at some point, we'll get some "official" word from the admins and moderators on here regarding what is and what isn't allowed to be discussed in regards to the situation in the middle east and events connected to it. We had a Israel/Palestine thread that got locked multiple times, during which period loads of comments were deleted before it was re-opened, now we've got Hamza and his antics on social media being discussed only for a thread about that to disappear and his player thread being locked as well. A tiny bit of transparency regarding the issue would be great because from my POV and probably others' as well it doesn't help the discourse
  3. When Warnock is about to come out of retirement for the 93rd time and characters like Beale, Ainsworth, Wagner are making the rounds, absolutely.
  4. They haven't watched us then
  5. Not been given a penny to spend, played 3 of the best sides in the league in his last 5 games and is still roughly midtable Reeks of their chairman/owner's ego being hurt about something Nigel will have said
  6. I'm guessing we didn't expect the ref to let them pull the shirts off all of our players
  7. a yellow for getting dragged to the ground and stamped on
  8. **** me could have had a brace
  9. nobody dares to put up a fight to Verstappen it's getting so boring, they all just dive out the way You're basically praying Hamilton and Mercedes have a good weekend, that's the only way there's going to be any action happening
  10. Almost poetic that he's gonna leave us on a free after looking like an actual footballer this season
  11. get ****ed tree shaggers
  12. Danny Ward is that you?
  13. The Spy with Sasha Baron Cohen, really good mini-series on Netflix and somewhat relevant today.
  14. piss missile
  15. Have you seen some of the rallies all over Europe in the last couple of days? Those weren't "we're unhappy with the foreign policy of Israel" protests, those were full-on vitriolic "death to all jews" rallies. Groups in Berlin went through neighbourhoods and marked the houses and businesses of jewish people with stars of david, the same way the nazis did before WW2. Anyone who is unable to see the need for a jewish state needs to give their head a wobble. You can criticise Israel's settlement policy, you can criticise Netanyahu for being a corrupt, right wing ****, but to equate Hamas to Israel is out of order. One is a terrorist organisation mindlessly slaughtering, raping, torturing, kidnapping civilians purely for being of a certain religion while the other side tries to protect the very same people from having those things happen to them.
  16. This is a bit of hindsight but currently it's impossible to tell who's actually responsible. There's been verified reports of civilians in Gaza having their car keys taken away by members of the Hamas, being told to stay put and not evacuate, satellite images showing roadblocks set up by Hamas. There's no doubt what their goal here is: to cause as many civilian casualties (no matter if it's their own) for propaganda purposes. Today there's been another alleged strike on an evacuation route but the footage available of it makes it look a lot less like an Israeli airstrike and much more like some improvised device detonated in a car on the street.
  17. Netanyahu might be a bit of a muppet but to suggest he'd willingly ignore intel and let his people be slaughtered like that just to cling onto the office a bit longer and get free(er) reign over Gaza is ludicrous and conspiratory bs
  18. Every arab neighbouring state has their own personal history when it comes to dealing with Palestinians and why they refuse to do so now. Egypt was victim of Hamas bombing sprees when their border to Gaza was open. The border is now basically permanently closed. Jordan had their King assassinated by a Palestinian. The Palestinians supported Hussein's invasion of Kuwait - one of Saudi Arabia's closest historical allies. Since then Saudi Arabia has been steadily deporting Palestinians who show any sign of goodwill towards the Hamas
  19. Despicable
  20. No chance. They'll obviously keep up appearances regarding supporting their Palestinian "brothers" but Saudi Arabia and Iran (and by extension the Hamas/ Hezbollah) are sworn enemies, not even a war against Israel would unite them.
  21. So now they're crying victim? I'll also gladly ignore any articles or posts that are by AlJazeera. Only two days ago they had a man on air who proudly proclaimed that the Palestinian people will never stop fighting as long as there are still Jews living in Israel. What can you expect from a station which is owned by Qatari royalty, the same royalty who harbours the Hamas leadership in luxury, away from their supposed home
  22. This is quite literally a case of don't bite the hand that feeds you. Israel left Gaza in 2005, since then the Hamas leadership has undertaken no efforts to establish any sort of independence from Israel regarding water, food, or power. There is only so much Israel can do to protect civilians but also target Hamas and get the hostages back. They already employ roof knocking before striking targets, full-well knowing suspected terrorists will get away. I wouldn't put the blame for the civilian deaths on Israel. This is on Hamas, they wanted this very thing happening - they need the civilian casualties for their hate speech and propaganda, they don't have a single regard for innocent human lives, not those of their own people. The war down there will end the day Palestinians start loving their children more than they hate Jews
  23. Just wait til it comes out Rudkin embezzled funds and we get hit with deductions
  24. Christ I'd forgotten about him
  25. That's like saying you could have scored those 91 goals of Messi, had they stuck you on the right for Barcelona in 2012. Ramos would have snapped you in half the first chance he got
