The company I work for has just received all its hospitality tickets for this game so Liverpool are definitely planning for it to happen.

Well I can only report we had a great 3 day trip to Rome/Naples - saw some amazing sites ate and drank in some great restaurants , watched the football team I have been going to watch since I was 8 ( thats over 50 years!) play against Napoli!!! Having seen us lose at Harlow and Exeter, to name just 2, whats not to like about a trip to Italy??? Having traveled to Rome on the Wednesday we did some sight seeing and then went on a free walking tour round Rome organised by Sean Egan, who had also sorted the bus from Rome to Naples the following day. Despite the heavy rain it was well worth the effort as many of the sights such as the Colosseum, Trevi fountain, Pantheon and Basillica have a totally different look at night under the floodlights. On match day nearly 50 of us departed Rome about 11.30am on the coach organised by Sean, who also accompanied us, arriving at the ticket collection point at about 3.15pm having stopped for lunch at a restaurant all organised by Sean and all included in the price of £60. Leaving the port at approximately 4pm in our bus with a police escort with 3 other buses Sean estimated it would take about 1hr 30mins as it was the same route that the police had taken him on when he did the trip with Man City and Liverpool fans. However, it soon became apparent that due to the torrential rain,thunder and lightning this had caused numerous issues on the roads with crashes reported on many sections of the route. It was touch and go as to if we would make kick off and with everyone looking at Google maps it did show that towards the end of the journey we were actually getting further away from the ground - this was not a mistake as Sean assured us the police took him on exactly the same route on previous trips and sure enough we arrived at the away fans entrance just in time to get through security checks for kick off. The catering and facilities in the ground were appalling and probably matched our defending in the match - but lets not get into that!! Over an hour after the game had finished we were allowed back to the bus and we departed, with police escort until we got on the motorway and arrived back in Rome about 1.30 am having stopped at services on the way. On Friday with the help of electric scooters ( also used in Warsaw) we had great fun seeing more of the city topped off with another great meal and then we returned to the UK looking forward to where our next European trip supporting Leicester will take us! Yes we had to jump through a few Covid hoops to get there and put up with some Police heavy handiness but life is for living and making memories and what better way than travelling into Europe with family and friends to watch Leicester City!! Roll on end of Feb!!
