Well, if we cheered him from the rafters I think he would know we were taking the pis@ I wouldn't say that we should encourage or reward his performance on the pitch when it's clearly terrible But you don't have to go from one extreme to the other? And Yes I believe the evidence of sports, psychology and neuroscience would suggest that negative and hostile feedback from your own fans has a high probability of making the performance worse. Especially when relevant to a goalkeeper. Once he's off the page and in the dressing room all the managers office , Then by all means rip the plaster with a sledgehammer. On the pitch? It's just making everything worse and that is the last thing we need.

And actually they're a hell of a lot of people that are terrible at their job that is still doing it , I know a guy who works for public institution maintenance team. He's only constructive. Don't get me wrong , he is terrible and The frustration is obvious particularly with the money we've paid him, but that's not his fault. But he doesn't play because of lack of booing. He plays because we don't have a first choice keeper, one is only just back from injury and the other clearly has some issues.
