  1. There’s really not much in Lens so Lille may be better if you want more choice and quality. However, talking to some blokes earlier, they said that Lens is a proper football town (they have nothing else, in their own words) and tomorrow is a sell out so the atmosphere in town should be buzzing. They also said it’s safe to wear colours in town.
  2. Ausden Clark leaving at 10:00, an hour after the club buses. I hope this isn’t laying down a marker for the season as it’s great how AC normally leave ample time for wandering around and boozing.
  3. Also booked the £99 Dover to Dunkirk return crossing. Researching a visit to WW1 history sites close by such as Vimy Ridge to keep me off the Pelforth Brune until lunchtime. Really looking forward to this away day.
  4. Yes, Fosse Travel (aka Ausden Clarke).
  5. That’s what I thought too. 😟
  6. Due to a ticket purchase cock up (gutted), got two places on Fosse Travel going spare. Not sure on the rules about transferability (one male and one female traveller booked) so it would be at your own risk.
  7. You’re right! He got a round of applause at the end and gave one back.
  8. Great night. The groundsman looked liked Sven so he got the Sven-Goran Eriksson chant at half time and he loved it. “I wanna stay here, I wanna stay here, Leicester’s a shit hole, I wanna stay here” still makes me chuckle.
  9. Had a look down there before the match and it was wild. Wearing colours would not have been a good move. The Drinkers was a decent boozer 👍
  10. I nearly chucked the voucher, thinking it was a flyer. 🍺 Thought Eindhoven’s 9 and captain were decent.
  11. Took me 70 minutes to get through Birmingham security.
  12. Many open until 5, especially around the river and just north of it.
  13. Cash or card accepted on the bus. It’s a very convenient option on arrival (the bus stop is just opposite departures) but I’m going for train to Vejle and then bus for half the price and to see another town on the way home.
  14. To all in Aarhus, this was mentioned earlier in the thread but it really is much cheaper to book train tickets on dsb.dk. I very nearly bought at the machine at the station today but just found it to be less than half the price online. It’s the same for going back to Billund airport via Vejle if you don’t mind changing. For cheap day time pubs, try Flintstones Pub (25 kroner a pint), Waxies (32) or Kurts Mor (30). First time poster, long time lurker. Hope this helps fellow tourists.
