Yesterday Fox Travel left the KP at 9:15 and Fosse Travel (Ausden Clark) just before 9:45. When Fosse arrived, having made good time, Fox were still at Knutsford Services. 🙄 Any discussion on football aside, Stockport was a good away day yesterday. There was a good mix of pubs and tap bars, the old part of town was surprisingly pleasant and the locals were genuinely friendly. Although we go to follow City, seeing and experiencing something different is also why I love away days.

I couldn’t resist and have bought a sponsor-less shirt. The weave is rather busy but otherwise it’s a beautiful shirt. I’ve got a short sleeve and it is baggy in the arms (or maybe that’s my lack of gym action). I don’t think of the FA Cup final but rather the maroon and grey tracksuit top with the running fox badge I had as a youth.

Losing the two Easter fixtures would be crap. Wimbledon away has always been a must do this season for me. Bank Holiday Monday would have been perfect.

Y3 now open with all the back nine rows available. Wish I had waited rather pick crap seats in Z1. When an allocation is definitely going to sell out, why not open all blocks from the beginning?

It was the perfect pre-match boozer. Football on inside and lots of space outside, including on the roof, when the weather was good. Decent choice of beer, which admittedly got worse over time. Far superior to the Donkey (formerly the Stork’s Head and Fuzzock & Firkin) and New Road Inn.

Fair enough. I was looking at the sponsor-less shirt. Last season the minus BC Game option still had the Bia Saigon logo on the sleeve. This season it looks like all or nothing in terms of sponsors. I like a Vietnamese beer, crypto gambling not so much.

No sign of a sleeve sponsor. We miss Saigon. 🙄

I did spot that. It would mean the Union FS lads finding something to rhyme with seven - heaven, Devon, Kevin (at a push).

If only we can keep Harry Soutts next season as captain, I’d see light at the end of the tunnel. Giant, six foot six, made of bricks (watered down version).

I was just thinking that, despite their connections down the road, Hummel would be a good option - Denmark 1990s vibes.

We rightly knock the club but this shirt is the best in ages, particularly with the historical nod. We should enjoy adidas while we can. In the Scoreline, Bukta, Fox Leisure, Le Coq Sportif, Burrda, Jako, Joma etc. years, we’d have regarded this as a thing of beauty. We could end up with Castore next season, like the Tigers. 🙄

That night I had got to the New Road Inn and realised I had forgotten my match ticket so nearly fell into this category. Luckily my Old Man begrudgingly dropped it off for me. Still one of my favourite City games. Ooh! Tommy Wright.
