I'm wondering if they think that we'll go back up regardless of who is in charge. Then maybe bin him off on promotion if other options are available. I wouldn't be surprised at that at all. It's a dangerous game to play, but it could work.

It's promising if we're getting genuine offers and interest in our young players. It means we're producing results. However we either need to cash in or get them under contract because the murky middle ground there is the Nyoni situation which makes it all largely redundant. And the more young lads we can keep a hold of that go on to do well, will make exponential improvements to our future ability to keep a hold of and nurture young talent, (as well as nick it from other clubs).

Were we ever offered anything fore those players though before they left? Not to defend Rudkin, he's fxxked up enough, turning down offers for players we barely use is a shit idea, but we didn[t turn down an opportunity to sell Cags or Youri did we?

The thing is, is he making the point he hasn't got the players to implement his style or is he saying they're just not fit enough for it? Because he likely won't get many new faces in to play whatever his brand of football is. So if he's saying it's just a case of upping fitness I can advocate for that, but whilst I do think we need to be far better fitness wise, it's not like we've started games all guns blazing and noticeably waned later in the game from fatigue. We're never on it. A good press requires a good level of fitness to implement well over the course of a match, but even without that level, there should still be evidence that you can work a press early in the game. That's coaching. And we've not seen that at all.

I think he does too. In fairness to him he didn't want to take the job until the summer, but Man Utd wanted him to try and turn things around. But you wouldn't be confident as a Utd fan going into next season unless he signs (and even if) about 7 players!
