  1. What has happened to Mulder? He was selected to play for San Francisco Unicorns but so far hasn’t featured in a game. He was supposed to be cover for Pat Cummins who has now rejoined the team and has played. Ian Holland is also playing Major League cricket and has played a few games but has not batted once!
  2. And Currie. But not Mike.
  3. Stupid shot by Budinger at the end of the day.
  4. A first innings lead of 93 is very useful in the context of these conditions.
  5. Have you seen the scores elsewhere in the league? They would have to fine every club in the country!
  6. If he doesn’t put bums on seats at Grace Road nothing will !
  7. Like Essex today. Negative cricket.
  8. This game has done nothing but good for the reputation and standing of Leicestershire County Cricket Club. We are very much heading in the right direction. A loss is disappointing but Alfonso wanted us to compete in all formats and we are certainly doing that.
  9. Deja vu. Agonising. Kimberrrrrrr!!!
  10. Excellent Louis, but another one we risk losing to the Hundred?
  11. Second eleven playing a Yorkshire side including Joe Root in Sheffield this afternoon . Currently batting 61-3 off 10.
  12. Would tend to agree but T20 is a lottery anyway. Entertaining, but little to do with cricketing skill.
  13. Hull had a nightmare and was lucky to get away with it. 21 off his second over including 2 nbs and a wide, 12 off his third and then nearly gave away the game with a front foot no ball on the third ball of the last over. I nearly screamed at him! Can’t fault his nerves to turn it around though. Goldsworthy and Currie had a good game. We are obviously missing Scriven. He bowled well in this format last year.
  14. Unlikely. Holland more likely.
  15. Back in training and aiming to be available for next tranche of CC games starting end of June. Scriven out with hamstring.
  16. Agree! Great effort with the bat. And we are still in third place! Our lower order batting has been particularly impressive. Just look at how Durham capitulated today. Their last five contributed just 19!
  17. According to Cricket Archive, Leicestershire played 16 first class (15 of them County Championship) matches at the Brush ground between 1953 and 1965. The last started on 19th June 1965 against Middlesex which Leicestershire won by ten wickets. See also https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brush_Ground
  18. There’s bound to be injuries at some point so an opportunity is never far away. It’s still a small squad.
