Look he hasn’t been a great signing at all there’s no mistaking it. But he did join just as things under Rodgers were about to fall off a cliff. He was very young & in a new environment which wouldn’t have helped. I’m not saying he’s about to turn into the reincarnation of Yaya Toure or someone (he definitely is) but we’ve hardly been stable since he joined. His profile is absolutely perfect for the Prem. On the ball he can look like a machine at times. Funny player.

I’ve always thought he might be better off playing further back as a fullback (probably just fan delusion to be fair) but he did play as a wingback for the academy sides I think.

He’s going to get 10+ goals again this season isn’t he? What a phenomenon. I seriously think he could play into his early 40s if he wanted to.
