  1. The usual negative bunch will be out in full force. How are Burns, Cullen, BCR who we need to perform going to improve without minutes? He made a brave call at 2-0 but I think RM and his back room staff may genuinely be the best thing to happen to this club in a long time. We dominated the game. It isn't just sideways passing - we are so much more positive. We won!!!!!! We actually showed a bit of fight when we were under pressure. Bodies on the line, McFarlane fist pumps. What more do you want? We are playing some superb football, yes there are errors and unforced mistakes but it's actually worth watching for once. Fair play RM and fair play Leicester.
  2. Game hasn't event started and the negativity is mental. All I've heard is moaning about McCarthy and he's been dropped. Cullen and he's not starting and Okoli and he's clearly been told where the door is. People crying out for McFarlane and Page to be in the starting 11 and they are. I agree that Alves, Bristic and Howell all deserve to be in the line up but they are young and need their minutes managed. I'd like to see the Finnish lad get some minutes but I think it's a good line up. Get behind the team 🦊
  3. Him or Cullen seems to be the only option currently which I agree isn't filling me with much optimism but I think both will be better alongside someone
  4. Won't happen but I'd love to see us try 3 at the back and 2 up top. I genuinely think 3-5-2 is a real option for us. McCarthy Aluko Soutter Okoli Joseph Braybrook Skipp Alves Watson BCR/Cullen Bristic No Thomas 🙌🏼 Aluku slots nicely into a back 3 but maybe better on the left side to cover Watson. Joseph gets to push on, he is fantastic defensively but he's so good going forward. Alves gets to play as a 10 or certainly more centrally with Braybrook and Skipp to cover him. I think 2 up front gets the best out of everyone, maybe BCR can do it as a 2. It won't happen but you can dream.
  5. It's a rebuild. Too many fans are drawing comparisons to previous teams and managers before the bloke has had a chance. Most of the players haven't played together and key connections and relationships will take time. We are essentially playing an entirely new team. The transfer window has been the most positive we've had in a while. I've watched this forum cry out for the like of Alves and Braybrook to get a go and RM is doing it. Be patient and give the bloke and this squad some time.
  6. I'm looking at today as optimistically as I can. We are doing everything we can to get rid of the dead wood, but what that means is we're going to have a very young, inexperienced group who have never played together. It's going to take time for this team to gel. At times today we played some really nice football, but yet again we looked like we were trying to pass the ball into the net and lacked any real urgency in the final third. There are plenty of positives, but I think we need to start playing players in the positions where they are at their best. I understand the frustration around Skipp, but he does that mopping-up role really well and the bloke never stops running. You could drop Braybrook into that role, play Chaplin alongside him when he's fit and move Alves into the 10, because he's wasted out wide. But, for now, would you rather have Hamza or Skipp sitting in the holding role? What was clear today is that Burns needs balls in behind — that's the only time he really looked dangerous. Alves needs to be more central, and we need a left winger who is willing to take a man on. The biggest one for me is Thomas. He cannot start. He's a car crash in and out of possession and makes far too many unforced errors. I'm not convinced by Cullen yet either, but I'm certainly not writing him off. The two Brighton boys both look bright, although I didn't see enough of the new striker to form much of an opinion. A point away from home isn't the end of the world. For the first time, we're finally seeing the youth coming through in the team. We've finally got rid of the players who don't want to be here, and we're bringing in players who actually fit what we need. It's going to take time, but that's the point — this is a rebuild. It's time to get behind the team and, for me, the people making the decisions. We're finally starting to see some good decisions being made. Now we need to give this group the time and support to develop.
  7. Skipp was highly thought of at Spurs and even down as a potential future captain. He's come here and not got going and lost his confidence. We don't have anyone really who can play there currently so we need him. Winks is a better player but doesn't want to be here. Hamza could play there when Ricky is fit potentially but right now he needs to play and find the form his fee and pedigree would suggest is there. Monga is undoubtedly the best talent we have next to Fatawu but he got bullied at Charlton, he handled it well but both him and Paige struggled because 1st team Championship football is a big step. They both need to be managed properly. Mavadidi should be keeping him out the team the fact he hasn't says a lot about him. Marti is doing all the right things.
  8. With what's available it's the best we've got. Skipp is only going to get better and more confident with games. Ricky isn't fit. Monga and Paige need managing they are so young, good to rotate them in and out. Marti is finally getting rid of the dead wood and toxic players. I am fully behind what he is building. If gets a few new faces in be fantastic.
  9. It is all relative to our current situation. Expecting the youth to come in and play 46 games is a huge ask, they'll certainly play their part and Cifuentes is definitely the right manager for this. Currently Winks, Soumare and Skipp (arguably Hamza but I feel he's the RB option now) are the only options we have. Winks definitely doesn't want to be here and Skipp is clearly a capable player but has absolutely no confidence at all - so realistically Soumare is out best option and has to start most games.
  10. Doesn't want to be here, needs to go. Go get some nasty bastard with an engine. Coventry today is exactly the type of player we need.
  11. We don't have an alternative to Ayew at the moment - I agree that I'd love us to buy a better player but it's not going to happen so you have to find a way to make him affective which for me can only be as a 10.
  12. Looking at the bigger picture, today was a step in the right direction considering the state of our club, recent outgoings and changes to the squad. Jacob and the defence showed real commitment—they looked up for it and were willing to put their bodies on the line. Of course, there are always things you can pick apart, but overall they were excellent. Soumaré had a solid game; he just needs someone alongside him who’s more forward-thinking and creative. Winks isn't the answer for me it is clear that he doesn’t want to be here. Page has a bright future but he needs proper managing and time he's not the answer yet. It is definitely an area we need to invest in. Monga got bullied at times but didn’t look fazed, which is a positive sign. Hamza showed today that he can do a job at right-back at this level, which could give us the option to try Ricardo Pereira in midfield—something worth exploring. Ayew has to play in the No. 10 role for the time being, and finding a proper striker is becoming more urgent by the game. The biggest takeaway for me today is that we’re missing a bit of nastiness and aggression to compete in this league. We lost too many 50/50s, and that edge is something we’ve got to find quickly if we want to compete.
  13. Tactics were bang on, high press completely stuffed them. Ricky P and KDH were superb and Hamza did a great job filling in. We created plenty of chances but were not clinical enough. Mavadidi and Daka both should have scored. Fatawu was poor. Final third cost us...end of
