I worry that they’re going to have a field day here like they did at Southampton a few weeks back. Could get very nasty.
-
Rodgers had a part to play in a lot that year but you have to admit he looked like he didn’t want to be there for 90% of the season which is purely down to attitude. One of my favourite players to play for us no doubt and who knows where we’d be now if we’d cashed in for £50m that summer.

Tielemans MOTM again. An incredible footballer and I love him for the Wembley goal but I’ll never get over how far out of his way he went to be a lazy bastard in 22/23.

Really good post this. But very concerned about the the direction it's heading in. Realistically this season all 3 who came up go down again, so what happens next year and who goes down? Brentford, Fulham no because they now appear well established and financially comfortable. Forest and Bournemouth no, West Ham, Everton, Wolves, Palace highly unlikely unless one of them implodes like we did in 22/23. So all of sudden you have 3 consecutive years of the promoted teams not standing a chance and you might as well close up shop. Something ought to change but I fear we're already created our own little super league here and as a club we have missed out big time because of our own incompetence.

Development/Youth Squads 2024/2025 Thread - U18/U21
FoxesBraun replied to davieG's topic in Leicester City Forum
Has to be worth a punt with Evans. Clearly not ready to be chucked in at the deep end yet but a handful of minutes to get a taste for it at Prem level will no doubt benefit him more than keeping him in the U21 bubble, especially in preparation for the Championship. -
I fear it might be too late by then. If we get f**k all from our next two then we'll definitely get f**k all from the 6 after that.
-
Next two are massive for us - an inconsistent Brentford at home and a very average West Ham away. Losing count of how many times I've looked at our games and thought the next couple could be the turning point for our season. But we're running out of games fast and I haven't seen anything to suggest we'll go on a consistent run of results.
-
Bottom 4 have been cut off now. Us, Wolves and Ipswich have all been terrible, and all it's going to take for one of us to pull away is stringing together a couple of wins and draws like Everton have. Easier said than done but we are still somehow very much in this.

How long have we been on a downward trajectory?
FoxesBraun replied to Haywood_6's topic in Leicester City Forum
This was it for me. After that 4-0 Villa game I think we'd have cruised to a Top 4 finish. Covid killed any momentum we had and killed us even more financially from which we have never recovered. -
Draper has had knee problems for ages now. Looked like she was on her way back but hasn't healed properly so might be looking at another surgery. Awful luck for her this past year.
-
A lot of Wolves fans have accepted that they're down. We really don't need to be THAT good to survive, just be less crap than the other 3. A positive result here will go a long way.

Rudkin is the first domino that needs to fall. I've said it elsewhere that we need a new DoF who actually has experience in the job at a high level.
-
We need to put pressure on Top to make the necessary decisions. We've let this be swept under the rug for too long and they've got away with poor decisions for years. We need to stand up and show that we will not tolerate it for another year. By the summer, we need to be on top of preparing for the new season no matter what league we're in and be ahead in recruitment. We can't afford to be in this turmoil once pre-season starts - change needs to happen ASAP so we can have a clean slate before the new season. That's just my view.
-
Can easily support the team and manager and separately protest against the board. One good result in 8 does not mean everything is rosy all of a sudden.
-
Something seems to have clicked over Xmas, could've easily had 6 out of 6 against two really good sides.
-
Definitely take a draw. Not expecting a lot from us here I'm afraid.

Not only do we have a rat in the building, it’s a lying shit-stirring rat. -

This did actually cross my mind. Certainly has a track record. -

I like this - he's clearly had enough of these players and they need a reality check. Although I don't like that stuff like this keeps being made public. There's clearly a rat or two in there. -
Random / Semi Unheard of Players you’ve spotted that we should look at
FoxesBraun replied to Sly's topic in Transfer Talk
Not too random but Archie Brown (22) at Gent is someone I'd take. Left Derby academy for Lausanne and now Gent and has really kicked on at left back this season. Palace were sniffing around and probably relatively cheap. -

I don't agree with the booing during the game, we need to get behind them during the game. But at full time when we've lost our 7th in a row, what else can we do?? The Vardy hate I do not understand. -

Happy clappers have a part to play as well unfortunately. If you’re used to getting applauded off for being shite every week, you’re not gonna take criticism well. Ruud hasn’t helped himself at times but he’s had a big old mountain to climb. -

If you as a player got relegated, had a say in 2 manager sackings, been shite for a large part of 3 years and still got offered a nice new contract, you’d take the absolute piss as well. -

I’m glad we’ve got someone to kick them up the arse, they deserve every bit of it. Bunch of entitled primadonnas that think they can wander about the pitch for 90 mins and collect a paycheck with no consequences. That dressing room is rotten to the core.
