Divine Mukasa from Manchester City (loan, official.)
Ron Judkin replied to DZ-LCFC's topic in Transfer Talk
No it doesn’t… James has been playing in the 8. BDR is the 10. -
Slightly different interview currently on Sky. Top interestingly straight up says “we have complied” with PSR every other season apart from when we got relegated in the Brenda season.
-
Yes but that loss wouldn’t have been £105m if we had stayed up would it? Also may have been able to get more favourable deals for other players as we could demand more having not just been relegated. The difference between finishing 17th and 10th is negligible but the different between staying up and being relegated is not.
-
I believe that’s on Brenda. But Vichai wouldn’t have accepted it that’s for sure
-
Rudkin was Vichai’s man.
-
Unless I’m misunderstanding, if we had stayed up it would have not been a problem as we would have been able to sell and still would have been within the higher 3 year loss bracket. Finishing higher up the league doesn’t have that much of an impact, it just would have meant a fire sale and our loss allowance would have been 100mil instead of 80mil (I can’t remember the exact figures)
-
I’m not saying it’s wrong in the slightest, although Cov and Ipswich still very much play possession based. I’m simply saying the players can’t do it.
-
The same young players that will be physically outmatched and bullied? People love to say play the youth, but fail to understand why no U-21 team has ever and will ever win the EFL Trophy or whatever it’s called.
-
Never said they are, but let’s not pretend you’d suddenly get Ayew making runs like Vardy and Skipp pinging balls like Drinkwater.
-
Very valid point this. People want us to play fast direct football, do you actually think any of the current bunch are capable of that? Sure we could definitely be quicker but the quality of players available certainly wouldn’t be able to play similar football to the title winning side. Too much running.

Then he should have already spoken to said person if that’s the excuse we’re using. It’s not like he couldn’t have cancelled this interview to prioritise more pressing matters. I mean he literally goes on about backing the manager 30 seconds prior. To me it comes across as very naive, I mean the whole interview does to be honest. In no way am I saying he should be announcing the sacking during that interview but it very much came across as though he himself either didn’t know or couldn’t make the decision without everyone’s approval. Just not a strong leader like his father, it isn’t his fault, everyone is different, but if that’s the case he needs to identify that in himself bin off the yes men around him.
-
That is not at all what I’m saying. He seemed like he didn’t know at all. Could’ve easily said something like “a decision has already been made” if he did. Whether that’s to stick or twist. I mean maybe he shouldn’t be doing an interview before making a major decision anyway…
-
I don’t think you’re understanding what I’m saying. Top didn’t seem like he was planning on sacking him until after that interview. Which means it was concerningly knee jerk/unplanned. When in reality he should have known Marti was getting sacked during that interview, nevermind the fact he should have been sacked months ago.
-
To be fair Vichai always had the last say too. He was just always present as well and actually made use of and relied on Whelan, whom has since been wrongly forced out because of Rudkin’s boys club.
-
That interview really exposes Top. Naive, and weak. He didn’t even seem to know Marti would be getting sacked, THE OWNER OF THE CLUB. I wonder if they had a meeting, Marti said I need backing in the window, club said we can’t do that so they sacked him. That’s the only logic I can apply to this without any sources. OPA didn’t even ask hard, pressing questions and yet he still came across as utterly incompetent and lost.

Realistic Managerial Replacements

Ah yes the fabled reliability of oddschecker… it’s just people placing bets it literally means nothing -
I saw that, my response is. We got rid of one disease but still have cancer. He wasn’t a symptom, he was a disease himself.

Fully agree, which I don’t think managers above would do any better with. He got sacked at both Brum and Millwall because he was going to get them relegated. Pearson was VERY HIGHLY rated at Watford, whole club loved him and he would have kept them up had he not fallen out with the owners. Also highly rated at Bristol but it went stale. Also highly rated at Hull prior to and post managing us. I think Rowett would just fall out with all our fragile little flowers and ultimately get us relegated. -

Sack a manager that’s gonna get us relegated and employ a manager that was going to get Oxford relegated? What? whoever we employ should be on a 6 month contract, a championship proven manager would be great, just not Rowett. He very much has a track record of being a bit shit and falling out with players which as much as I hate them, will just get us relegated. -

To add to this, personally I want a German manager. I was a big fan of Rohl, they all play high pressing, hard working football and take no prisoners when it comes to slackers. -

I don’t pretend to know who would be a good pick, but it’s pretty ****ing obvious who wouldn’t be. Reality is we are getting no more then an interim manager if any common sense is applied here. That being said: No issues with Mowbry. Pearson seeing out the season would be a dream. That bloke that managed Blackburn whose name escapes me wouldn’t be too bad. Plenty of options abroad. Reality is it’ll be King until the end of the season because we simply cannot afford to risk let alone actually pay for another full time manager until the summer. -

Rowett… the man that was sacked a few months ago by the team that just beat us… Hassenhuttl… the man we beat 9-0 and then he lost 9-0 again a little later. Everyone moaned that we signed players from that team and now you want the manager? **** me I’m glad some of you lot aren’t in charge -
He doesn’t lack personality he’s just the Shakespeare to Pearson/Ranieri. The guy that gets his arm around you and is friends with everyone, which we need the polar opposite of right now.
-
Can’t wait for another shielded Top interview with one of his LCFCTV yes men that can’t say anything at all pressing to their boss whilst we sit here wondering why Poundland Pep is still here. Probably saved his job by blaming the fans.
-
“Highly suspected” by a bunch of people that know nothing about the case and are purely guessing. It will not be 10, or 9 or anywhere close to that.
