  1. The comparison between this season and the situation 2 years ago or even 10 years ago is really quite stark. To not be in with the slightest chance of survival this time around is yet another indictment of the mess that the club is in.
  2. The board built up a level of support within the fanbase that was probably unlike any other club, but crucially this has been taken for granted through their own actions, and has in-part culminated in the proposed plane banner for Liverpool at home. They've been afforded loyalty which still exists today, but the board have also unnecessarily lost swathes of supporters.
  3. This was my post from West Ham away and it's the same case again for this one: Just a reminder that the club didn't put this on sale to one home or away point, let alone general sale. Granted it's a hard sell at the moment, but it would have helped shift those extra 500 or so tickets. Especially as virtually every other away game sells out anyway without needing those two sale brackets. Unfortunately this is what we're up against and it's an all too familiar story. The club work against their own supporters and the lack of regard is a consistent theme. The club's dysfunctional booking process has also been apparent again, like the website showing the fixture as sold out, only to check back and find random groups of tickets had suddenly become available.
  4. There's similarities with the 22/23 season in that two separate managers (Smith and now van Nistelrooy) haven't been able to stop the club's downward trajectory. Both appointments can be scrutinised, but as we know it goes beyond the manager in charge.
  5. This has been a real opportunity missed and it's a massive shame.
  6. They're coming into this on the back of a win at Arsenal, and will probably start getting it together under the new manager. 2-1 defeat.
  7. Just adding my post in here from the match thread.

  9. The sanitised feel inside the stadium doesn't get talked about enough, and it was under King Power they decided to replace the original banner which ran along the roof. The outside now showcases our history but even that took years for the club to do.
  10. Also feel it's worth adding the point about how clubs always lose some fans when moving to a new stadium, and that seemed particularly relevant to our club.
  11. Rudkin understandably takes a lot of criticism but the board are culpable as a whole for severing the relationship with the fanbase. The culture that seems to exist within the club would not go away with a new director of football, however much it may be needed.
  12. Just to come back to this topic, although there can be less of a connection to modern stadiums, there's a lot more our club could do to add more character.
