Reading the comments in this thread makes for interesting thoughts. My view is that, however our season ends, we are getting a mass exodus of players (12 players, if you include loans), which leaves an enormous void in the squad to be filled with a transfer budget of ... £?? ... So, at this point now the club should have modelled and mapped out the finances and be looking at who they're going to sign in both situations (staying up, going down). That said if we go down does GR stay or go? If we stay up, same question. Also in terms of personnel, we have players to get moved on anyway (for a fee if we can) Then some cuts to the running of the club will be essential, because you can't run this Super Club style training facility in League 1. After that, who knows?

I was googling and couldn't find out what's happening with the appeals against the points deduction. The club appealed the deduction. The Premier League wanted more points deducted. With two months of the season left , surely this would be sorted soon? Perhaps it's not being sorted because of the position we are in? ... Wouldn't want to start next season with a further points deduction whichever league we are in. What's everyone else know or think ?

I woke up yesterday morning with a glimmer of hope. But that performance, especially second half just blew any hope I had away 😔 Even Oxford beating West Brom didn't lift me because I can't see us winning another game this season, not even the one against Sheffield Wednesday!

From what I am reading the Premier Leagues appeal is based on the club not getting a sanction for late submission of accounts. As for the club itself appealing is beyond daft!

Why appeal? ... We got off lightly!

One thing to ask.... Why on earth would any decent credible manager come to Leicester? 14 games to get 6+ wins, with this group, and, a short term contract that they won't get a payout from. The only answers I can think of would be a love of Leicester City or just doing it to avoid boredom! ...no credible manager would touch this job surely!?

What has to be considered is what cutting costs at this club looks like. We have this , by all accounts, elite training ground complex (not that it's produced any elite performances as such), that to keep running must cost an absolute fortune and is extravagant for a club that is not in a European competition, let alone one that is on the brink of relegation to League 1. Then we have players, all of which have been signed with Premier League football in mind, so none of them will have a League 1 relegation clause in their contract. The squad has devalued now, individual players aren't going to achieve any big fees unless someone like Fatawu gets a number of clubs interested and we can have a bit of a bidding war for him. Some of our players, no club will even want. Wages will be a huge issue. Then, factor in the position of King Power as a business. The owners can't afford to put money into the club now. A financial mess.

I genuinely believe they won't appoint a new manager and will leave Kingy to try and make a miraculous turn around which , as much as I love him, he is out of his depth in terms of the scale of that task. Marti was sacked on 25th January , clearly no replacement was lined up! Another thing, this thread on new managers was started in October, yet it took until the end of January to sack him!
