I’m not sure there are a lot of questions? We need a No.9 simple. A lot of comments that a better side would have beaten them, I’m not sure it’s a better side? Just a side with a cutting edge, we created all the clear chances. My worry if I was a Leicester fan was they didn’t want the fight, we set up exactly as expected - work hard, press and go through walls for each other and that wasn’t there for Leicester. We learnt very quickly in the National League no one is going to gift you anything on reputation alone. We will be competitive and staying up a success. Leicester will go up if they drop this superiority complex, roll up sleeves and get in the trenches which Martin teams don’t do. Thought Alves was the foxes stand out.

We played with one striker, an Australian lad who’d been playing in Finland 🤷‍♂️ we all know we need a striker so agree with you, sadly the chance your keeper gifted in the 2nd half went straight to our centre half… anyone but him 😂 I can’t see Martin taking you up unless your prepared to start fighting, we wanted it more today and that’s unforgivable for any team

Some interesting takes on here. My view from the other end for what it’s worth was that it was everything I said it would be, your have the far more talented team and the class showed at times, however what you didn’t have was the intensity, desire and heart for the battle. A draw was the least we deserved and I think some of the comments that we are **** are a little harsh. First game back at this level for over 10yrs against former premier league champions. If we’d had more of a natural striker we win. i still think you go up - Martin won’t last long, you need a Dave Challinor style manager to realise you need more than tippy tappy football. Sort that and you’ll be fine. Was the perfect time to play you today. Interesting your take on the ref, we thought he had blue tinted glasses; slightest touch and you got a free kick. Overall would have snapped your hand off for a point today and we showed that hard work can be better than talent when talent doesn’t work hard. I think we showed enough to believe we can compete and survive, you just need to adjust to the battle and fast - a lesson we learnt in NL, no matter how big you are for the level other teams are no respecters of that. Best of luck for the season and see you in March!

Survival is no1 aim, underwhelming summer. Team of grafters but not real goal threat. Far more encouraged after the performance at Burnley

Jodi won’t be playing, hasn’t featured all pre season. Rumours he wants improved deal which we aren’t offering. No idea if he stays or goes but no where near fit.

We will have a go, 1st home game after promotion, sell out etc but we won’t be the pass at all cost side we were in the national league, far more pragmatic these days and in the evidence of yesterday will play with two terriers in midfield and press like crazy. Whether we have enough quality up front is the issue but we will out run and out work most teams and certainly aim to be hard to beat

Promising performance from Notts yesterday, deservedly taking a strong Burnley side to pens. Expect next week to be more of the same, hard working, pressing but lacking some quality at the top end. We might not have the skill of some of the top sides but no one is going to outwork us. Also looking like a sell out

Well I couldn’t have asked for a better opening game!!!

Don’t be expecting the 4K tickets we used to give, was capped at 1.9k last season and would fully expect to us have home fans in half that stand this season for games like Leicester

Notts fan popping in to say hi… imagine we’re far happier to be playing you than the other way round! Last time we played was a 4-1 win for us at the Lane, in the same 93/94 season we beat Derby and the F word at home as well.

Just thought I’d pop in… Notts fan living in Leicester, buzzing from promotion and finally getting a chance to visit the King Power. Never saw us get more than a point at Filbert Street back in the 90’s.
