  1. It was his mistake that led to the goal, and the shot that McCarthy saved, what is the point of blaming the players around him instead of criticizing him?
  2. Except it was the amount they were going to pay before all their issues flared up, you're basically asking Rudkin not only to understand the finances of a completely club but also see the future and know that they are going to get themselves into trouble barely a week later and pull out.
  3. It's his job to get the highest fee possible and Sheffield United were willing to pay that, you can hardly blame Rudkin for Sheffield United's own financial problems under your own weird logic he'd have accepted the first offer and got well below what they were willing to pay which we would all rightfully call stupid
  4. No, Martin said him and Mavididi were dropped because they were likely to leave and it didn't make sense to drop Mcfarlane or Howell from the bench for players likely to leave. And "rejecting bids" is just basic negotiations not "no more interest"
  5. Should have brought Page if you were going to play Choudhury as an 8 anyway
  6. I don't think Joseph changing to a first team number after impressing in preseason is the same as McCarthy going from 12 to 29 for no reason (why not just take 29 from the start?), but we'll see
  7. Yes, during training not in game
  8. McCarthy's number is 12 not 29
  9. Not sure, maybe Mavididi if he leaves or he doesn't "replace" anyone and Cullen plays as a striker rather than an attacking midfielder
  10. Not the same position at all
  11. You say this like non big 6 teams losing the best U-18 academy prospects is a unique problem that we're facing, in reality it's the standard, The rate that we are producing talents like Monga, Noubisse, Page, Motsi, Nyoni, Evans probably makes it look like we get picked off routinely but after retaining Monga, Page and Evans on pro deals I'd say we're one of the best at keeping our young talents compared to other non big 6 teams
  12. People forget it's a two way street, same for Cartwright. They are 21/22 years old why would they stick around as fringe options when they have options elsewhere?
  13. Where are you getting this idea that he's not going to play?
  14. I'm sure Alves is not stupid enough to take competition/depth in his position as an insult, nor does he think he's 100% owed a starting spot
