Arguably 50% Board; 48% players; 2% fans.  Unfortunately we don't have any direct input/debate from Board / players so fans live in a vacuum of against / pro the other camps.

I've given up ST this season as I couldn't take the toxity of Board being incompetent/players perceivedly not giving a shit.  However, I've had recent doubts & thought about renewing.  I've always thought RM is a complete twonk & have been happy is hasn't been our manager - now I'm trying to convince myself he might do well & get us back on track.  But then I realise Top/Rudkin are still running the show & brain says "watch from a distance"

It hurts but we'll all be LCFC till we die regardless of what Board/players are here - toxic or not.

Agree with you. The ratio is 2% fans at best. If the fans had an input, then the structured protests would have made the board sit up and listen.

    Sack the board, and RM.

Top should tell us all the exactly what our identity is. What is “the Leicester way”. I want it explained by him with a tactics board, with a historical highlights reel, detailing exactly how and why possession based football is so ingrained in our club DNA.

I'm baffled by this DNA and identity rhetoric. I guess, after this RM appointment. They can close this chapeter and burn the book. We had hope, he would have learnt from Marti sacking.

Give me a win rate over some superficial playing system.

How have we missed out on Challinor over this fraud.

  3. They had to get the one guy. The fans don't want. Great way to dissect the club further.

The owner and senior management have lost the plot. These delusional people will fail again.

Unfortunately for us. They are destroying my club. That new guy is just another yes man.

We gone from the best owner in the world, to the worst in one generation. How low will we go? Not low enough I guess.

was challinor ever in the frame? Or just wishful thinking on the fans behalf?

He should have been in the frame and a wish by the owners.

Even by an out of touch director of football, there is no excuse for overlooking a winning manager with an incredible record.

So potentially we have the chance to hire a manager who hasn’t finished below 5th in league 1 or hire someone who’s highest finish in the division is 13th.
You really couldn’t make it up with these clowns.

Everything wrong with the owner and senior management. Out of touch with reality. Unfortunately for us, we just have to sit back and see the mess, play out.

Don't think it's quite as simple as that though - given the transition occurred under Puel (great signings) and Rodgers (our best ever football for first 18 months or so?)

The club is the pits though, for sure.

    Puel started the transition. Agree

Rodgers played Good football. Until that Man City game, I think. When he went in with a new philosophy. Agree

I was referencing the current owner, and his obsession with the style of play. The stats show we have been in decline also.

He probably could if he wanted. The problem is, he won't want to. It is becoming clear that Top has still not let go of his obsession with Man City, and Challinor will not be regarded as being in that mold. Challinor's teams tend to dominate the ball, but he likes to move the ball forward quickly and rejects sterile possession. It seems Top still believes that possession for its own sake is the way to go. Hence why even if Martin rejects us, they probably won't even consider Challinor.

Unfortunately for us. We have an idiot of an owner. And silly yes men to around him, to pander to his out of touch football knowledge.

We have been in free fall since obsessing over possession play.

Yep ****ing clueless, just get the best man for the job to win promotion from league 1 at the first attempt.

    - Martin has a win percentage of 38%, 1 promotion in 5 seasons.

    - Hake 36% 0 promotion in 10 seasons, and most people have probably never even heard of him, I hadn't.

-Challinor 50%, 7 promotions in 15years and lowest ever finish is 5th

Only Top would think of employing the first 2.

Top is only interested in making us bankrupt, and lose his wealth.

There is no other logical reason for missing out on Challinor.

Rudkin is an administrator, plain and simple. This managerial appointment is all Aiyatwatt. He will never be challenged. I simply refuse to believe it’s anything other than him because the alternative is that other Board members support (rather than just do their Leaders bidding) is incomprehensible.

I agree. I used to vent against Rudkin. But this is all on Top. The guy is just thick, with loads of cash. It's burning fast though. Lets see

  10. I just woke up, from a nightmare. But, we are actually living this now.

How has this Top fella, destructed a legacy in less than 10 years. The guy is a moron.

This Martin appointment will speed up the process of elimination.

The club going into Administration looks inevitable.

    Challinor please. Sir

  11. My gosh, Martin over Challinor. Madness

What a stupid decision that is. I can't believe these clowns, even investing their time talking with him.

At least this will be over soon. And they get their Southampton fetish out their system one day.

Still not seen a single post about Challinor's actual play style, does anybody actually know?

We have been investing in management with playing style instead of clear statistical win rates. I don't care how he plays. Challinor, wins alot. That's all I care about right now.

I'm not understanding this fascination with Challinor...

Have you seen the win rate

    The promotions and achievements

Yes, he is lower league guy.

But that is where we are.

They should be all over this guy.

  14. My gosh. Challinor is such an obvious choice, that it is too easy a decision.

Management can't look past a Southampton link, and Martin being favourite, is mind boggling.

Somone please Morse Code, management 'Challinor for the job'. Before, they mess this up also.

    From what I’ve been told.
We’ve spoken to Russell Martin, Ryan Mason, Gary Rowett and Javi Gracia.

They’ve spoken to several free agents, as they don’t want to pay compensation

Surely we should be looking at net spend, which includes the full term of the contract. Rather than making a judgement on compensation alone. Say Leicester pay Stockport for the one year remaining. Challinor can't be on big wages, compared to that grave yard list.

McCarron comes from city group, they use a slower, data-driven process . His job is to literally rebuild the club's playing philosophy from the ground up, identify who needs to stay, who goes, identifying recruitment profiles for league one players, thinking long term about club success and then appointing a manager who can get the job done. He won't be hiring a manager to impose a system on the club, he will be hiring a manager who fits the system he wants, with the player profiles he believes we need to make that system work. And that takes time to get right - to really unpack the data and make decisions. Clubs like Bournemouth have an identity, and a recruitment strategy that's been working, we don't. So its easier for them to make faster decisions and have replacement managers in place: they aren't reinventing their playing identity. McCarron won't be hiring a manager based on vibes or on name recognition. I actually think McCarron's the first real sensible person in our club to get us out of the mess we've been in the last few seasons: hiring on vibes (Ruud) or impulse (Cooper). I totally get the frustration: we don't have time to waste, sure. We also don't have the money to waste on a poor fit, and I'd rather the club take its time to get this right than us start off this season poorly. This is such a big season for us, we need to get this right.

I hope he is taking time to understand that we are in the 3rd tier of English football, and works to play the league. And not try to romance their way into thinking Pepball is the only way to play football. I hope he is a sensible appointment, but judgment should be reserved when it gets implemented and we see tangible results. I mean, just by law of averages. We are due a right decision.
