  1. Glover and Rudkin haven't done any actual scouting/work in about 5 years. Their combined little black books only have about a dozen names that we've not already ran through for playing and coaching staff. Would be unbelievable if not for the last 5 years. Southampton are loving that we keep going back to all their failures and cast offs. It's like a sliding doors episode for them at the minute where they get to see where they could have been had they persisted with these failures like us.
  2. As others have said; shame for the players and the charity, but a devastating turnout is just what the club deserve. Bet they still announce a 20+K attendance. Shame as this should have been a rammed stadium on a day like today with a Kasabian performance and the lot.
  3. If Dykes turns out to be true, we are going to be out of the Championship for longer than I already thought...
  4. Getting more annoyed by the day that I can't go to this. Would love to have taken my grandad if I could stomach putting another penny in the King Power coffers.
  5. We're the first line of defence against them Warwickshire w@nkers I'll have you know. Now we have to suffer the indignity of being served by men in Cov shirts (bar Yo-ey who refused until he took it off 😂). 😆👎
  6. Hopefully. This does feel different though. There has never been a time in the last 50 years that Cov fans felt so emboldened as to wear their shirts proudly in Hinckley regardless of the difference in league positions and now half the new pub owners/managers seem to be wearing Cov shirts. Think there's something in that...
  7. For reference this didn't even happen last time we were in League One by the way. Even without what now is a prestigious history. Everyone knows we are an omnishambles going nowhere, but down it seems.
  8. I think this generation are already lost. The border of Coventry fans used to be Nuneaton/"wrong side of the A5", but now Hinckley has basically fallen to Coventry as well in my recent experience.
  9. They're genuinely all on holiday and it's business as usual, isn't it? They'll all turn up sometime in July then wonder why all the good manager & player deals have been done and marvel over how every one else has got the jump on them again? Like it doesn't occur to them that they could possibly be proactive now because holiday. It's like we are literally run by the least productive, most ossified institutionalised guy at work who has the same exact start, finish and break times like clockwork regardless of events and spends most of their time running down the clock and thinking about the *insert boring hobby* collection waiting for them at home.
  10. I would be pleasantly surprised if we get any update before July, such is my disdain for this 'leadership'. They're probably all on holiday now as they are all just clock-in clock-out, regardless of performance, gravy train riders lead by captain do nothing Rudkin. They are pathologically incapable of learning lessons from prior mistakes, so we'll be well into pre-season with no permanent manager and unfit players, many of which are still hoping to leave, as usual.
  11. Like we would have won if anything was riding on it 😂 Final spit in the mouth from these lily-livered pansies. Just praying by some miracle we only have the under 23s to come back to next season.
  12. I wonder how much they offered him to bring his announcement forward to before the last home game? Bet the players are pissed he said no as they then had to put that 45 minutes of effort in to placate our fans.
  13. Glad someone else can see how cynical they are. Next year the chickens finally come home to roost though, and I can't wait to finally season and fry them. 👌
  14. It won't/hasn't stopped them trying to do that though is my point and it absolutely is a cynical attempt to derail any chickens coming home to roost (on KP's part, that's not to say it wasn't going to happen anyway, just that it is super convenient for KP) Whether or not it'll be successful remains to be seen, but as I said already I think you underestimate the response to Ricardo and moreso the nostalgia of the last of a great team and long-serving leader leaving (even though he may as well have never have returned from injury). I'm expecting more of a testimonial feel than the more toxic atmosphere it would/should have been without that.
  15. I said fair enough that you missed the sarcasm. If I worded it without the levity and contempt, I would have said typical of this club to use Ricardo's retirement to try and take some of the heat off them just as they did with Vardy last season. I think you're underestimating Ricardo's impact as he's the last of a great team we still have left and most will now be in testimonial mode out of respect for him. Why you want to defend this revolting regime I do not know...
  16. That's bollocks. Fair enough you missed the heavy sarcasm in the first sentence of my previous comment, but this now will be the Ricardo testimonial. And that is a cynical ploy from the club to deflect from their failings and use him as a human shield.
  17. That was half-joking hyperbole, but this is exactly the same as last season with Vardy was my point. Turn the final game into a testimonial to make anyone giving them deserved flack look bad and gain them sympathy.
  18. Beyond cynical. Using Ricardo as a human shield and turning our final game that should be about protests and comeuppance into a testimonial for the final player worthy of it. Exactly as they did with Vardy last year. Luckily next year they will have no one left to hide behind.
  19. Almost can't believe they've forced Ricardo to retire so they can use him as a human shield and turn this into a testimonial. Literally the same exact playbook as last year with Jamie Vardy. Further proof of how next year will just be groundhog day. King Power Out.
  20. I unironically brought that up a few weeks ago. With the squad we are stuck with next season, and the morale of everyone left at the club, I think we'll need a minor miracle just to get the 55 points needed to survive.
  21. It's looking grim. We'll be saddled with at least half of them. Sulking all the way to the bank. I'd be amazed if we actually had League One relegation clauses in place to be honest. It didn't even occur to them as a possibility, just like the EPL relegation.
  22. How much does one player have to take the piss out of a club before they would have any objections? Could literally anyone pull on a Leicester shirt and have their full unwavering support? What about Dennis Wise, or... who's another good example, back in the day?
  23. At this point you've got the people whose complacency, delusions of grandeur and acceptance of (un)managed decline have caused us to spiral into the abyss, shouting at, and blaming for the toxic atmosphere, the people who have watched this happen and raised perfectly reasonable concerns. Hmmm...
