Has done OK for a makeshift CB with 10 out of 100 strength. God help him when he comes up against an Akinfenwa type though.

I think that's being too generous to him. If you sift a shit out of a punch bowl it starts to taste a bit better. Just removing the majority of the bad apples and finally playing players based on merit, not wages, is enough to lift the dressing room. Let's see if it continues when the remaining bad apples are available for selection again.
