Don’t disagree with anything you’re saying, obviously there are only a few players like Anthrophic, OpenAI, Google, xAI etc. involved with the development and providing LLMs, and they are fuelling most of the current applications we’re seeing commercialised. We could be using them for good now, and already are. I’m not sure it’s making a fortune for these companies at the moment as the investments and overheads are huge. Even for good causes though it’s going to be massively disruptive. If we cure all diseases using AI that is objectively good and would also decimate the medical and pharmaceutical industries. Again that’s not a bad thing but the pace it’s happening and the absolute state of ignorance and unpreparedness of governments is a huge problem.

It's too late already, it's already well in progress in many industries. We needed to legislate 5 years ago minimum. Just need to find customers who can pay for the stone walling that have an income stream still. And fight off all the photographers, videographers, software engineers, coders, copywriters etc who are also dry stone wallers now.

It was a pretty plain and easy to read statement. Let me spell it out for you though as it seems a few people on here haven't managed to comprehend what I actually said. People in the UK get relatively long sentences for social media posts in my opinion. People in the UK get relatively short sentences for abusing children in my opinion. I don't like this. I think it's terrible to abuse children. I am a proponent of free speech, even if I find that speech abhorrent. You might not agree, and that's fine. It's an opinion and this is a forum.
