I don't mind the tasks so much, I think it's a nice contrast to the tension at breakfast and then the round tables. There's some nuggets of info that can be gleaned during the tasks. You get people stitching themselves up (James and hiding the shield) and then some funny moments in some too. Creates a nice balance across the show to help build up motives - whether valid or not.
