cjslcfc Posted 3 August 2015 Posted 3 August 2015 Any one know how many times a team has fielded 11 players of different nationalities (footballing nationalities at least)? Or even if it's ever happened before? I was only thinking this because we appear to have a truly international squad. Schmeichel (Denmark) Wasilewski (Poland) Huth (Germany) Morgan (Jamaica) Albrighton (England) Kante (France) King (Wales) Schlupp (Ghana) Mahrez (Algeria) Kramaric (Croatia) Okazaki (Japan) This could well be a starting XI all of different nationalities. That's without using Ulloa (Argentina), Fuchs (Austria), Schwarzer (Australia), De Laet (Belgium) and potential (although possibly unlikely in a couple of cases) arrivals of Inler (Switzerland), Aranguiz (Chile) and Benalouane (Tunisia). Edit: It could well have happened a lot. Just had a lot of free time today and somehow got onto thinking about this...
Langley Posted 3 August 2015 Posted 3 August 2015 Watford fans might know... Number one he's on loan...
halfpipe Posted 3 August 2015 Posted 3 August 2015 Number one he's on loan... Watford away in our promotion season was absolutely magical :'). My first actual away day, can't complain with that one can ya!
Stadt Posted 3 August 2015 Posted 3 August 2015 Last season we could have fielded an all english team, we can't anymore. Hamer Simpson Upson Moore Konchesky Albrighton James Drinkwater Hammond Vardy Nugent Admittedly it'd be a shit team but now we can't even field an all british one.
