Ozwin Posted 16 August 2015 Posted 16 August 2015 I've been thinking recently about maybe starting a fan made Leicester City YouTube channel up, it'd include the usual sort of previews, predictions, reviews and discussions on transfer rumors and that sort of thing. Ideally it'd have a bit of charm to it and have something a little different where I can to at least change it up from the bog standard sort of videos out there. If nothing else it'd hopefully be a sort of side project for me to place some creative input in. I don't expect to have anything like The True Geordie's channel (check it out if you haven't, it's brilliant) but a channel in the same vein is what I was thinking of. Nice, polished, quick and snappy videos. It got me wondering if there are any channels out there dedicated purely to Leicester City aside of the official one? I'm sure there are plenty of people who upload bits and bobs from game to game but from what I have seen they are rarely very well put together. It's just an idea at the moment and who knows if it even gets off the ground but if it's going to get any sort of interest we've got to start somewhere.

Massive money to be made on Youtube and I will help any Leicester fan get a partnership contract if they exceed 500 subscribers. Good luck. True Geordie, is probably earning between £1500 and £1900 a month in Revenue sharing, however if you're doing a channel out of fun of it then i wish anyone the best.

I honestly know very little when it comes to YouTube so you'll have to explain to me what a partnership scheme/contract is exactly?
Littletoe Posted 17 August 2015 Posted 17 August 2015 The annoying advertisements you get at the start and in between some Youtube videos, will pay the Youtube Channel owner a percentage of revenue from these ads per lets say, a thousand views a video will generate. Most people are completely oblivious to the serious money involved if a channel has the potential. Looking at 100%LCFC, he's already missed out on a possible £500 payment ( If my analysis of his channel is right ).The best way to start off though mate, is to do it for the love of the club and to enjoy it. Once you're promoting it on foxestalk and have a strong subscriber and view count, then it's a case of negotiating contracts with either 1 or a few Partnership Networks that will pay you a minimum 60% revenue share and also help increase your popularity and ratings to grow and expand. The payments often vary from Companies, some pay $4 dollars per thousand views, some pay up to $8 dollars per thousand views. There are loads of ways to manipulate the Youtube search engine too mate, so for Example, if you were an active Uploader ( daily ) and especially match days, when a person types in specific key words such as " Leicester, Mahrez, Vardy, Foxes ". You could find your channel and its content on the top pages of the search tool on Youtube. You will find that actually players like Mahrez and Okazaki, are a massive marketing tool because Algerians and the Japenese adore these guys, which in essence are two large populated countries. But like I said buddy and same to anyone else, start off doing a Youtube channel to enjoy it. It's not a job that will pay you a good wage, unless you get a good 30,000 odd thousand subscribers, but it's something to aim for if you really are serious. If the content is good and positive for the club, then most lads/ladies on here will subscribe and contribute it to grow, definitely.
