How the season is shaping up so far...

If Arsenal don't catch us (I'll come to them in a bit) & Spurs repeat their points tally from the first set of matches against their remaining opponents that would mean they'll get 6 more points to finish on 68 and we've already won the title. :D

Safe to say they've had a much better second half of the season coming from seemingly nowhere to become the main challengers (before Christmas all the talk was of us, Man City or Arsenal with Man Utd and Spurs as the rank outsiders of the title race) so that seems unlikely.

If you extrapolate their ppg so far over their last 6 games then they'll end on 73/74 points.

If you do the same with their ppg starting from matchday 17 onwards (when they stopped drawing most of their games and started the climb from 5th in the table) they'll end on 75/76 points.

If Arsenal repeat their results they'll gain 13 more points to finish on 71.

If you extrapolate their ppg so far over their last 7 games they'll finish with 71 points.

And since we did a selective 2nd half ppg for Spurs, that same period's ppg for Arsenal yields 69/70 points.

Based on those figures, unless either team goes on a form-busting run we'll need at most 77 points to win the league out-right, so either 3 wins or 2 wins and 2 draws will be enough...
