The drive to reach the Champions League is immense and if Jose is still in place he might well look at a few of our players. Again the owners could stop most things but Vardy is a difficult one. As a player you want to win things. Chelsea might well give him that. Liverpool probably not. (.) (.) Posted 12 November 2015 Posted 12 November 2015 A players only worth what a team's willing to pay. For example if Spurs were linked with Drinkwater I'd imagine that there fans who haven't seen him as much as we have will rate him a lot lowe than we do.

Of course not. If you walked in to Tesco and offered £1 for a Xbox One you would be told no. When Man City were splashing the cash everyone was laughing but to the Man City owners they had to perhaps over spent to get to the next level. Andy Carroll was a classic case of panic buying but perhaps the Fenway group didn't want dwindling crowds and had to make a "statement signing" These days it's not just a case of asking how much then paying it. There's agents taking a cut, there's players getting large signing on fees, even players demanding top of the range sports cars.
