Countryfox Posted 11 November 2015 Posted 11 November 2015 Okazaki isnt worth what we paid, he does a lot and we play are best when he is on with Vardy but at the end of the day he is a striker that has scored 1 goal in 13 games, probably worth under 5 million imo. howlinmadmurfdoc Posted 11 November 2015 Posted 11 November 2015 In our position the only thing you can compare too is Southampton from a couple of seasons ago, there will be massive clubs if we keep this up asking us to name our price for almost everyone in the squad. At the end of the day though every one is worth what it will cost to replace them, and at the minute there's a few that are irreplaceable.

My Nads Posted 11 November 2015 Posted 11 November 2015 It depends on who is trying to buy them. I think most of the valuations of Vardy and Marhez are too low. If the rumours are true and the likes of Real Madrid, Barcelona, Man U, Arsenal and Liverpool are interested in them. Remember, Ranieri said only a very few clubs could afford them. A top championship side could afford £15m. Also we aren't looking to sell him, we're not a selling club, PL revenues are going to be much more now, they both seem happy here and they have more then two years on their contracts. All of those factors push the price up. I think Vardy and Marhez are closer to £30m a piece, than £15m. Everyone else is age and position related.

He is undervalued, but in general defenders don't tend to go for big money. He's been our best defender this season for sure. He is easily worth more than Huth and Morgan.

Worth whatever clubs are willing to pay and whatever we're willing to sell for and how much would it cost to replace. And if the two align that's the value - otherwise it's impossible to say. Eg would anyone offer 10m for schlupp? maybe. would we let him go for that ? Possibly. Vardy? would anyone offer £20-25m ? I guess not, would we let him go or be able to replace home for less than £30m on current form ? I doubt it.
