wigstonboues Posted 5 March 2016 Posted 5 March 2016 I know cricket isn't half as entertaining as football but has anyone else noticed the sheer size of the flood lights currently being installed. It looks almost as if they are going to provide lighting for the king power and Welford Road with them beast things. God knows how they got planning for that when the same neighbourhood objected to the training grounds planning applications for lighting.
katieakita Posted 5 March 2016 Posted 5 March 2016 Wash your mouth out, plenty of excitement in the cricket if not always at Grace Road, fair play to the county financially they are the Burnley of the cricket world.

You do realise Grace road has one of the largest playing areas in the world? They need to be substantial to give the require coverage. They will be used so infrequently I can't see residents being affected. I am sure they have mitigated as much of the spill over as possible.
Mark 'expert' Lawrenson Posted 13 March 2016 Posted 13 March 2016 4 of the 6 lights are going on the field! It won't be such a large playing area for much longer.
