davieG Posted 9 May 2016 Posted 9 May 2016 I seem to recall there's one or two on here. I'm looking for one for a 1 off job in Glenfield where I've got a house for sale but the garden needs some sprucing / tidying up, rubbish removing etc. If anyone is interested can they please PM me. Thanks
stez Posted 9 May 2016 Posted 9 May 2016 I don't have the horticultural contacts in Leicester that I once had, but I'll ask around. Is it just a bit of a tidy up job?
pSinatra Posted 10 May 2016 Posted 10 May 2016 I'm a gardener but I'm up to my eyeballs with work at the moment & struggling to fit the work in I already have booked. This is my busiest time of year & I would say that's the same for most gardeners.......not helped by the changeable weather. That may also affect the price. If they are busy & don't necessarily need the work, it can sometimes mean they'll quote a higher price. You could try Gardens Uncovered based in Enderby

Sorry I missed this, yes removing some rubbish including cut branches, broken bridge, a couple of slabs and a bit of pruning / weeding.

Not wanting to do gardeners out of work, but you'd be best off with a general clear up bod. As pSinatra says gardeners are snowed under at this time of year it's manic and they may just quote you silly money
pSinatra Posted 10 May 2016 Posted 10 May 2016 If this rain doesn't stop, I'll be bankrupt by the end of the month Yeah Stez, May is never that great. Stez is right about garden clearance. I had a chap ring me up last week who wanted his garden clearing. It is something I will do during the quiet times. I will do just about anything during the quiet times. But this time of year, it's simply not possible & garden clearance is something I'm really not interested in........it's a shit job, I would rather be gardening & it's a pain in the arse getting rid of random waste. If I'd have had the time, I could have quoted him a silly price. I told him what Stez has said, that he'd probably be best to get a 'man-with-a-van'. You might want to check that he has a waste carrier license, or at least make sure there is nothing in your garden that is traceable back to you.
