Fox92 is just that annoying kid in your sixth form that makes a point of reminding everyone constantly that he likes the Beatles and that they invented music (aside, why have these kids never heard of the Southern black musicians that white rock n roll pioneers stole their culture from?)

He's duty bound to try and convince everyone that every footballer that played before he was born is better than the footballers of today, regardless of the insurmountable amount of statistical data that shows how much better Messi and Ronaldo (and even Bale, Neymar, Suarez, etc) are than their predecessors.

And that's without talking about the fact modern defenders are fitter, more athletic, more professional, better schooled and organised than anything Pele or Cruyff had to take on.

 

The statement I made was wrong (I shouldn't have put "well off") and MTWG was correct in saying I was overreacting. Messi is in the top bracket, yeah of course he is, and I'm going to leave it at that because the top bracket includes Platini, Cruyff, Puskas, Pele etc etc we can go on... It's difficult to pinpoint "the greatest player ever" - in fact it's impossible - because they all play different positions. If I mention Pele - a forward - then I mention Beckenbaur - a defender. 

 

Other than that, you don't know me so lets not try and stereotype shall we, but considering you've brought it up you do realise I listen to/love rock 'n roll, it's my favourite, and I love Chuck Berry, the Everly brothers and John Lee Hooker. I didn't go to sixth form either.

 

I love FT because we all have different opinions on everything, especially football of course, but if you don't agree with me just say it (you don't have to bring other things up - and what a surprise you've picked on my music). AKCJ didn't agree with me and that's what he said, he didn't say I was 'annoying' just because I had/have a different opinion. I like having a difference of opinions with people, I like agreeing with people too but when it's "Fox92 is this and that" I just can't be bothered typing a reply at times.
