mozartfox Posted 7 July 2016 Posted 7 July 2016 Given our new enhanced profile, I would have thought new sponsors would have been queuing up to sign deals with us. Any one heard or read any news on this front?

Any one heard or read any news on this front? I guess a lot of our sponsors will be on a contract for a couple of seasons so will depend on when they are due. A few sponsorships I guess are never going to change either - King Power, Visit Thailand, Signha even Walkers Crisps to an extent so will depend where major sponsorships can see where they can work for more exposure with them. Being typical city, they could of probably paid off some of the sponsorships and earned more with a new sponsorship but has failed to do so like the dreaded Genesis kits.

Any one heard or read any news on this front? They have been. Most of the commercial team have been doing 16-18 hour days for the weeks after the season finished supposedly. Looking to invest a lot and take a lot more on in the commercial team pretty soon.. Only issue is that our stadium naming rights and shirt sponsorship (most valuable commercial items) are going to be with King power for as long as our owners are here. But still plenty to be done with other commercial rights and abroad!
mozartfox Posted 7 July 2016 Author Posted 7 July 2016 Thanks for up date. For sure there must be new opportunities in Asia if not locally and in the UK.
MarriedaLeicesterGirl Posted 7 July 2016 Posted 7 July 2016 I wouldn't be surprised if that is one of the reasons for the trip to Thailand at the end of the season. Those one million fans in the street means it is easier to re-negotiate deals with the Thai sponsors --- given FFP rules, even with a title, a large increase in rights fees from Thailand might be viewed as "suspicious," but less so with the proof of their popularity. I am from the United States (wife's from Leicester), and I can tell you that LCFC is big now in the USA. The title came just at the right time: The Premier League is getting its first regular airing on broadcast TV, and the story really caught on over there.
