This makes me wonder if, rather then use some kind of statistical analysis software, the guys at lcfc.com and just guessing how long to make the bars. I didn't check the others - but I think we must demand accurate graphics or the whole this is a waste of time! I might get shot down in absolute flames, but should there be coloured bars for the zero sending offs? can zero be quantified, shouldn't it just be an empty space?

Tricky.... this is a deep question. If the bars are to compare the scores the 0 : 0 should be equal. However if the bar proportion is your value divided by the total for both teams then this would be 0/(0+0)..... which could by anywhere between 0 and infinity and is not computable ... . To avoid this i would go with the approach in para one above . I will check this with a professor..... we do need the club to regularise all this. Its like we'rein the prem with conf graphics
foxinsocks Posted 4 April 2017 Author Posted 4 April 2017 just to say this recent graphic - is perfect (all the bars are the right length.... and we won 2;0) My work here is done!
foxinsocks Posted 5 April 2017 Author Posted 5 April 2017 Oh no!!!! - just when I thought we had it all sorted .... I have received the email below; you will I am sure instantly notice that the bars for the "shots on target" (11:12) and the corners (5:6) appear the same (and also the fouls (11:12)) - yet the bar for our corners should be shorter (it is about 45mm and should be about 43 i.e. about 4.5% out). We really need the club to sort this our or we won't be able to rely on these graphics and will have to start producing our own! Without accurate measures how can we gauge our progress.
