From the chief source of City history - Of Fossils & Foxes (Dave Smith & Paul Taylor)

Name: John King

Born in Birmingham

Hinckley Utd/Jan 1922 - City/July 1924 Halifax

debut: 9.2.1922 at home to Clapton Orient

paragraph about him

"Kept in the reserves primarily by Harry Graham's consistency, Jack was an inside left who managed a respectable goal ratio on his sporadic senior appearances during 1921/2 & 1923/4, yet who later lasted less than a season at the Shay after moving with Tommy Duncan and scoring on his Halifax debut"

City 7 appearances in the league

4 goals in the league
