Wymsey Posted 21 May 2017 Posted 21 May 2017 Yes, the team deserves the crowds applause today for especially for the great Champions League run that was ended by a controversial penalty decision and also turning around a dire situation that Ranieri, perhaps, inadvertently left the club in and could've been much worse had Shakespeare not turned it around initially very well. But, one person that really deserves the support today is The Birch. A club legend that is slowly improving after a horrible, and of course unexpected, health scare. The support we should give him today needs to be one that makes him feel both courageous in himself after what happened and also that the fans appreciate him greatly both for his love of the club and also his exceptional charitable events he's participated in; and the donations that come from it over the past decades that have helped thousands of people and families across the region. So, please raise your support today in particular for a true legend during his run (not sure whether he's going to actually going to do a few laps? ) to let him know how incredibly brave he's been and that his support over the many, many seasons has been very much appreciated by the Leicester faithful! Legend is often an overused term as mentioned by a few on here, but The Birch, undoubtedly is one indeed.
Fox92 Posted 21 May 2017 Posted 21 May 2017 Hopefully some legends will be doing it too. I recall the likes of McAllister used to join in but haven't seen him there for years now.
promised land Posted 21 May 2017 Posted 21 May 2017 Roy Cropper always springs to mind on the birch run, but yes the Birch is an absolute legend for what he has done to raise money.
