Local Cricket Grounds

Not sure if this is in the right place but we are looking to start a cricket team in Leicester, joining at a low level and hopefully working up. Nothing too serious just a bunch of mates on a weekend. Does anyone know what the best way to go about getting a ground is ? At the moment that is proving the biggest stumbling block. Any help would be appreciated.

Bit out your way, but for a few quid, you can hire the one near me in hinckley

Evington Park has pitches. Reckon a few clubs would probably rent out to you on Sundays if they didn't have fixtures etc as well.

I believe the Hinckley one only has the practice pitch available. We need a ground to be able to join a league is that right ?

I didn't think the one on langdale road had a practice pitch and i only got that info because one of the lads playing a game on it told me they hired the pitch. Worth a phone call i suppose.

If you want to join a league you'd probably be best ground-sharing with a team already playing in it if you don't have your own. That way you know you'll be playing somewhere up to the league's standard.
