willy37 Posted 12 October 2005 Posted 12 October 2005 says he wants to leave charlton on loan to get first team action? i know we wont go for him but he could be useful, proven goalscorer.
Wellman Posted 12 October 2005 Posted 12 October 2005 He'll go back to ipswich if he goes anywhere in the championship!
Hitesh Posted 12 October 2005 Posted 12 October 2005 I reckon that we should at least try and get him! He would be a good player to add to the squad and i would play him ahead of Williams atm!

Gené and Tonic Posted 12 October 2005 Posted 12 October 2005 too good for us imo. He'd go to somewhere like West Ham, Wigan, or Sunderland
Scow Posted 12 October 2005 Posted 12 October 2005 We need to strengthen where we need it (i.e. a striker who can score) - we don't require any further central midfielders. Hughes, Gudjonsson, Williams, Kisnorbo, Tiatto
Scow Posted 12 October 2005 Posted 12 October 2005 Carlton cole till january then scoweh Didn't particularly set the world alight at Wolves, however, I wouldn't dismiss the idea.
King Kyle lcfc Posted 12 October 2005 Posted 12 October 2005 Looked pretty good last night for England u-21's but obviously with peter taylor being such a great manager he must be able to get the best out of him

Hughes, Gudjonsson, Williams, Kisnorbo, Tiatto Yup. CL needs stability in CM - a regular pairing ideally. Replace The Australian Coot Who Shall Remain Nameless with Jim Wesolowolowolowski and then its up to Craig to sort them out.

Scow Posted 12 October 2005 Posted 12 October 2005 though Wesolowski back soon though hopefully Good point, forgot about Wezza!
seventy_times_7 Posted 13 October 2005 Posted 13 October 2005 Holland is far better than any of our current options in the centre of midfield, none of whom can take a game by the scruff of the neck and control it. I think we should be looking to bring someone of Holland's ability in. Now whether or not he'd come to us is a different matter.

Would have to disagree - Hughes is a better player than Holland and has age on his side. Holland has been poor for the past two seasons.
shadowman Posted 13 October 2005 Posted 13 October 2005 Holland is a brillant player i dont no why charlton want to get rid of him he wages are probably to much for city anyway but he would be brillant if he went to leicester
Guest Gist Posted 13 October 2005 Posted 13 October 2005 I dont think we need holland even if he was to come we have enough midfielders, dont forget weso is due back
