Ash Posted 6 September 2004 Posted 6 September 2004 WalkerMakin---Heath--Dabizas--Wilcox Scowcroft--Gudjonsson-Nalis--Tiatto Dublin---Connolly bench:Blake,Gemmill,Pressmanp,Keown,Benjamin 17487 Is that what you want or think it'll be? If its what you want then i pity you! 17490 I think thats what MA will play.... <_<
DesertFox Posted 8 September 2004 Posted 8 September 2004 With the signing of Harper on loan, and Walker's injury, I think MA will go for... <<<<<Pressmaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan>>>>> Makin - Heath - Dabizas - Stewart Harper - Nalis - Tiatto - Scowcroft Connolly - Dublin Subs: Keown, Willcox, Gudjonnson, Blake, Gillespie My choice would probably be something like... <<<<<Pressmaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan>>>>> Makin - Heath - Dabizas - Tiatto Harper/Gillespie - Nalis - Gemmill - Scowcroft Connolly - Dublin Subs: Keown, Canero, Gudjonnson, Wright, Harper/Gillespie And looking at either of those teams, I'm not very confident. I can see weaknesses everywhere! We could always go with playing people in their best positions (now how's that for progressive thinking?) - so bring in Canero at right back ( ), be forced to play Makin out of position at left back (but he's at least capable there), Tiatto left mid. Scowy, bless 'im, on the bench as he's just not a winger and as a striker is not as good as either Connolly or Dublin. Hmmmmmm... who'd be a manager, eh? Micky doesn't know his best 16, let alone his best 11. But do any of us?
Scow Posted 8 September 2004 Author Posted 8 September 2004 Pressman Canero / Dabizas / Keown / Makin Harper / Nalis / Tiatto / Scowcroft Connolly / Dublin ------------------------------------------- Subs: Heath, Gemmill, Stewart, Blake, Wilcox :w00t:

And now i'm reading it on here. Most dumbest thing i've heard/read in ages. No pace, no skill, no use, no need. I assume you love the long ball? Cause the only reason you can pick them pair up front is if you're loving the long ball system. The only time i'd put them two up there is in the last 5 minutes if we're losing a game and desperation sets in.
Muz Posted 8 September 2004 Posted 8 September 2004 Well MA is not going to play the ball on the ground anyway i think every leicester fan knows that!I have gave up that long ago. But when Connolly comes out the box scowcroft moves in to a forwards role anyway so then Its Dublin and Scowy. Rotherham are a big physical side and i think that a ball up to Dublin and Scowy and then a knock down for Connolly would be brilliant! Plus Scowy has scored and Dublin and Connolly have not!

Ric Flair Posted 9 September 2004 Posted 9 September 2004 After reading Adams pre-match interview I think the team will be Walker Makin Heath Keown Stewart Harper Williams Nalis Scowcroft Connolly Dublin Subs: Canero, Gudjonsson, Dabizas, Wilcox, Wright (I hope!)
Scow Posted 9 September 2004 Author Posted 9 September 2004 Williams and Nalis in centre midfield? No thanks, we've looked very fragile in that area when those two have played together. It's either one or the other.

It's either one or the other. 17980 Yes fair enough it looked fragile in the first few games and we blamed our poor results on the central midfield not controlling the game, but another 4 games on without this pairing and we are even worse! I think once we start playing well (if we ever do) then Nalis and Williams will be a great partnership, if Tiatto plays in the team there will always be the added bite that everyone waffles on about. If we start passing the ball, Williams and Nalis will be dangerous. Gudjonsson has been shit so far, so there's no other alternative as Gemmill seems to be forgotten about over the past few games. I personally think he'll be released after 3 months and if Harper does well then they'll do all they can to sign him permanently.

Micky loves him..... :w00t: I think we need either Tiatto or Dawson alongside Williams or Nalis - Don't matter if Tiatto is playing left, we still need someone to stay disciplined in the centre to break up attacks, not someone to do that type of job by coming in from the left wing, that will leave us exposed then.
