If travelling by train from the north you only need to buy a ticket to Haywards Heath. The rest of the journey to Falmer (Amex Stadium) via Brighton or Lewes is paid by the club. You, of course, have to be the holder of a valid match ticket. There are loads of pubs, takeaways, cafes etc. around Brighton Station and a good selection in Lewes.

Brighton Station and Lewes Station are equi-distant from the Amex.

 

Similarly if driving. The club's Park and Ride schemes are free, i.e. parking and return bus. There are 3 locations in the city, 1. Mill Road which is based to the right of the first roundabout you encounter at the bottom of the M23/A23 into Brighton. 2. University of Brighton at Mithras House in Lewes Road and 3. The Racecourse.

I'll be getting train from Brighton back out to Falmer.

 

 

I was wondering whether this will better than bus but was informed it's about the same.

Good that the club do that. One of the worst grounds in the county to get to, parking ect.

If you are travelling by train into Brighton from London then get train back out to Falmer. If time is important then Lewes may be the better option although not so frequent trains back to London after the match.

If you are going right into the city centre for a bite to eat or drink then you can get buses 25, 28 and 29 to the Amex. for free.

You can mix and match train and bus, both are covered by the same scheme.

Also be warned the Park and Rides can get full early.

There is sometimes some expensive parking near the ground but you would need to phone the club about that.
