I notice the Reserves second half performance tapered off. Sound familiar.:unsure::ph34r:

Here's our OS report...which is more of a post match interview really.

Foxes And Canaries Draw Blank

An experienced Leicester City back-line kept a well-earned clean sheet as the reserves battled out a 0-0 draw with Norwich City on Wednesday night.

First team squad members Paul Henderson, Alan Maybury, Patrik Gerrbrand, Alan Sheehan (pictured) and Peter Gilbert made up the Leicester defence as the Foxes looked to bounce back from their second string defeat at the hands of Coventry City a fortnight ago.

And their experience would tell as City allowed the home side few chances in the FA Premier Reserve League South fixture at Carrow Road.

Speaking after the game, reserve team coach Kenny Black said: "We had a couple of good opportunities, but if I am honest then neither side really looked like scoring on the night.

"We dominated the game for long spells without really actually threatening to score goals.

"The clean sheet was important for us. We had a defence consisting of Henderson, Maybury, Gerrbrand, Sheehan and Gilbert which gives you a solid base because all those players have played first team football. The rest of the side was made up of Academy players. But Norwich had a pretty young side out as well.

"We were a little bit slack at times during the first half, but we were happy enough, especially with the performance in the second half. We finished the game reasonably strongly.

"The surface at Carrow Road was excellent and it was made for keeping the ball down. But we didn't do that during the first half.

"We had chances from a few set plays. Levi Porter whipped in a good corner and Gerrbrand was unlucky, while Alan Sheehan just missed out with a free-kick from a wide area.

"We leave reasonably happy. A clean sheet is always a good start. It was just unfortunate that we didn't get the winning goal.

"We just maybe shaded the game over the 90 minutes and in terms of possession we saw more of the ball than Norwich did.

"Again, it was a good experience for the younger players. Ashley Chambers played for the full 90 minutes while Joe Mattock came on as a sub.

"It was important for Maybury to get 90 minutes under his belt after his suspension. In fact the whole of the defence will benefit from playing the full game."

City: Henderson, Maybury, Gerrbrand, Sheehan, Gilbert, Gradel, King (Wykes), Porter, Graham (Mattock), Chambers, Muggleton (Beswick).

No they drew 0-0 and didn't loose

Ah but just wait and see... so far they have been doing a good job of progressively emulating the first team... :P
