Cobbo Posted 17 October 2005 Posted 17 October 2005 He's with the Under16's England Squad How long for?
Ric Flair Posted 17 October 2005 Posted 17 October 2005 He's with the Under16's England Squad I think he might be back as the next game is next month I think?
davieG Posted 17 October 2005 Posted 17 October 2005 How long for? Now I've said it I'm not sure it's true entirely. He is in the squad for the Sky Sports Victory Shield, and scored in the first game but I'm not sure now whether that means he's unavailable to LCFC in the mean time as the last game is on 25th November - so he could be playing against Norwich. Sorry if that was misleading.
Macca4lcfc Posted 17 October 2005 Posted 17 October 2005 he will be back but im not sure if he will be involved or not, i hope he is, top lad
Guest Gist Posted 17 October 2005 Posted 17 October 2005 He's with the Under16's England Squad yeh he is ........... they only played there first game friday night so i think he might be a good couple of weeks depends when is this match?
Ric Flair Posted 18 October 2005 Posted 18 October 2005 he will be back but im not sure if he will be involved or not, i hope he is, top lad I'm pretty sure he'll be involved if available. Now that O'Grady and Wright are out on loan and James Graham is injured, the only decent young strikers we've got is Dodds and Chambers. Plus Chambers is absolutely lethal at any level he plays so i'm sure he'll play and rightly so. How are you getting on at Rushden? Hope things are going well, do the Rushden lot rate O'Grady?

Ric Flair Posted 19 October 2005 Posted 19 October 2005 Ric Flair, I spoke to Chambers after the game and he said "He might not play tomorrow" Sorry for the bad news! Any reason why not? Has Levein pencilled him in for sunday?
frenchy_lcfc Posted 19 October 2005 Posted 19 October 2005 Any reason why not? Has Levein pencilled him in for sunday? I dunno he didn't tell me! But if he plays that will definatley change the game and once we bring back on Ryan Smith it will be some wins for the club!!!
cisono Posted 19 October 2005 Posted 19 October 2005 Maybury Named In Reserve Line Up Alan Maybury will be back in action once again when the City second string take on Norwich at Carrow Road tonight (Wednesday). Maybury picked up a red card in the 2-1 defeat at the hands of QPR at the end of last month, and after serving a three-match ban he was unable to force his way back into the first team squad for Tuesday night's Championship clash against Burnley. And now the Republic of Ireland international will be looking to get some much needed match minutes under his belt ahead of Sunday's local derby encouter against Micky Adams' Coventry City. First team squad members Paul Henderson, Peter Gilbert, Patrick Gerrbrand and Alan Sheehan are also named in the line up as the Foxes look to bounce back from their 2-0 defeat at the hands of Coventry City a fortnight ago. The game kicks off at 7pm. A report from the match will follow here on lcfc.com. City: Paul Henderson, Alan Maybury, Peter Gilbert, Andy King, Patrik Gerrbrand, Alan Sheehan, Max Gradel, Ashley Chambers, James Graham, Levi Porter, Ricky Muggleton. Subs: Joe Magund, Conrad Logan, Joe Mattock, Adam Wykes, Ryan Beswick http://www.lcfc.premiumtv.co.uk/page/News/...~729152,00.html So, is this what Levein had in mind as punishment for Maybs?
cisono Posted 19 October 2005 Posted 19 October 2005 So... both Chambers and Maybury playing for the reserves tonight... Full squad: City: Paul Henderson, Alan Maybury, Peter Gilbert, Andy King, Patrik Gerrbrand, Alan Sheehan, Max Gradel, Ashley Chambers, James Graham, Levi Porter, Ricky Muggleton. Subs: Joe Magund, Conrad Logan, Joe Mattock, Adam Wykes, Ryan Beswick source: OS
Ric Flair Posted 19 October 2005 Posted 19 October 2005 Good to see Chambers in the team and great to see James Graham back from injury. I wonder what's up with Dodds?
Steven Posted 19 October 2005 Posted 19 October 2005 Good to see Chambers in the team and great to see James Graham back from injury. I wonder what's up with Dodds? Maybe seen as behind both Graham or Chambo. Strange not to see him on the bench, maybe he is banned or injured.

Mark Posted 19 October 2005 Posted 19 October 2005 Sheehan left center back, Gilbert left back, I'd say. With Maybury and Gerrbrand completing the defence that's a first team back line. Henderson Maybury Gerrbrand Sheehan Gilbert Porter Gradel King Muggleton Chambers Graham

Henderson Maybury Gerrbrand Sheehan Gilbert Porter Gradel King Muggleton Chambers Graham Why is he wasting Sheehan's attacking capabilities by playing him as sweeper?. Yes, he IS the best sweeper in the club but we NEED him to help the attack. And, he's just a bit vulnerable, height-wise in central defence. He'll have forgotten HOW what to do at left back by the time he gets to play there again!!! Still at least we know he's still at the club.
King Kyle lcfc Posted 19 October 2005 Posted 19 October 2005 Or norwich ressies were poor going forward
Mark Posted 19 October 2005 Posted 19 October 2005 Match Report from the Norwich OS http://www.canaries.premiumtv.co.uk/page/M...~729360,00.html NORWICH CITY RES 0-0 LEICESTER RESA YOUNG Norwich City reserve side was held to a 0-0 draw by the counterparts from Leicester at Carrow Road on Wednesday night, writes JAMES BIGG. With the first team facing an injury crisis ahead of the trip to QPR on Saturday, Keith Webb was forced to field a very inexperienced side. While it was the visitors who enjoyed the better of the match, they could find no way past teenage 'keeper Joe Lewis. Lewis was called into action on a number of occasions to keep the Foxes at bay, especially in the first half when City found themselves pegged back for long spells. His first stop arrived as early as the third minute, with Lewis saving down by his near post from Ashley Chambers after a loose ball from Lee Howlett. On the half hour mark he produced a wonderful piece of acrobatics to tip over a goal-bound header from Ricky Muggleton following a cross from the left. It had been one-way traffic for much of the first half, but visiting 'keeper Paul Henderson kept his concentration long enough to save well from Rossi Jarvis' long-range effort. From the resulting corner, Howlett should really have done better than send his header over the bar. The second half saw the young Canaries come back into it, with substitute Seb Muddel having the two best chances for the home side. On 65 minutes he found himself clean through on goal, but Henderson did well to palm the ball away from his feet as he tried to round him. Six minutes later and Muddel again had the goal in his sights, but his shot from inside the box was straight at Henderson following a flowing move involving Chris Martin and Robert Eagle. Attendance: 1,103 Norwich City Reserves: Lewis, Cave-Brown (Bexfield 68), Eagle, Spillane, Halliday, Gusterson, Fisk, Martin, El Ouargui (Smart 79), Howlett, Rossi Jarvis (Muddel 53). Subs: Arnold, Thrale. Leicester City Reserves: Henderson, Maybury, Gilbert, King (Wykes 81), Gerrbrand, Sheehan, Gradel, Chambers, Graham (Mattock 56), Porter, Muggleton (Bestwick 76).
