No loud footsteps, no fixed cameras and different soundtrack puts me off a bit. shame, i was sort of hoping for a remake but in the way crash was re done last year.

I think I'm in the minority that doesn't hail Resi 2 as the pinnacle of the series - I always preferred 3 myself - having that ever-present threat of Nemesis chasing you down was flipping terrifying.

 

That said, anything that gives us more of the 'good' Resi games and less of the mess that was Resi 6 is fine by me. Hope they don't tinker too much though, I didn't like the addition of the Crimson Heads etc in the REmake of the original.

The deluxe edition will apparently have an option to use the original soundtrack.
